Liverpool fans love watching their idols train at Melwood

Liverpool have been forced to build a privacy screen at their Melwood training ground in a bid to stop their tactics leaking out.

Fans have been so keen to watch their idols train and capture the moments on film that the Reds have become convinced their secrets have been falling into the wrong hands.

So a temporary 4.5m screen was erected around the pitches in January by the city council before granting permission for a permanent 'block' four months later.

The Liverpool Echo reported that Anfield chiefs had become angry that their pans had been posted on social media in the days leading up to matches.

Fans had been using bins, cars, discarded roadwork barriers or ladders to look over the wall and catch of glimpse of the players.

But work on the installation will be completed in the next fortnight, with only the "privacy curtain" left to be put in. The club will only use the curtain for certain training sessions after consulting with and making guarantees to local residents in the Kirkby area.
