Pascal Krauss Clarifies Why His UFC on Fox 10 Bout with Adam Khaliev Was Cancelled

A welterweight bout between Pascal Krauss and Adam Khaliev has been removed from UFC on Fox 10. The Kruass vs. Khaliev bout was scheduled to take place on Jan. 25 on the undercard for the Chicago event.

UFC officials announced the fight’s cancellation on Saturday, not disclosing a reason. Krauss, however, felt it was in his best interests to let fans know what happened, so he posted an explanation on Facebook on Sunday.

“Here is what happened,” wrote Krauss. “My opponent did not get cleared for the fight. So the UFC offered me a new opponent (props to J. Silva for finding someone so quickly).

“Since I've been dealing with some health issues the last couple weeks, my plan was to fight the Russian and then take some time off. As things changed, I took it as a sign and asked the UFC to push the fight back.

“As much as I love fighting and putting on a show for all you guys, I made this decision for my health n the longevity of my career.

“And trust me, it wasn't easy!!!”
