Oregon State starting wide receiver Seth Collins is in the hospital being treated for an undisclosed illness.

Oregon State did not provide specifics on the illness, citing privacy laws, but coach Gary Andersen is scheduled to meet with the media Monday afternoon. It is unclear whether he’ll address Collins’ status.

Collins played in Oregon State’s 38-24 loss at UCLA on Saturday night and caught two passes for 44 yards. So far this season, Collins has 36 catches for 418 yards and one touchdown, and 15 carries for 30 yards.

Collins started seven games at quarterback last season as a true freshman before losing the starting role. He opted to transfer to Northern Illinois in the offseason to continue to play quarterback, but then decided to return to Oregon State and embrace his role as a receiver. He is currently the second-leading receiver on the team.
