Hawks send guard Cunningham back to D-League

The Atlanta Hawks announced on Wednesday that they have assigned guard Jared Cunningham to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA's Development League.

Cunningham was recalled from the Jam just three days ago on Dec. 29. He had averaged 18.1 points, 5.4 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 33.1 minutes in eight games (all starts) with the Jam this season. In his last two contests with Bakersfield, Cunningham has put up 27.5 points, 9.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 34.5 minutes (.704 FG percentage, .700 3FG percentage and .714 FT percentage).

He had played in three games thus far with the Hawks this season.
