Not even a Los Angeles heat wave could keep stars like Jennifer Hudson, Halle Berry, and Ciara from supporting Revlon's annual Philanthropic Luncheon at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon.

Berry didn't break a sweat in a body-hugging David Koma design as she posed with her fellow beauties in the 90-plus-degree weather. Hudson smoldered in a cream-toned, high-neck dress (above, left) while Ciara flaunted her toned gams in a tailored shirtdress (above, right).

The event supported Revlon's Women's Health Mission and honored Dr. Dennis J. Slamon, director of the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program at Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, for his achievements in cancer research. And there were plenty of celebrities and industry vets on hand to celebrate his and the beauty company's accomplishments.

Barely Famous star Erin Foster (above, with Julianne Hough), who attended the event with her sister and co-star Sara Foster in a navy Parker jumpsuit, told InStyle this is the second year in a row that she had been to the event. "I lost my stepdad to cancer three years ago ... I'm not comfortable accepting that as the standard now," she said. "I really want my kids, whenever I have them, to grow up in a generation where they don't think that everyone's going to be lost to cancer."

"I think that it's really brave that Revlon takes a look at it and puts in the resources and the time, and the energy and the money, into doctors that are thinking outside of the box," she continued.

As the luncheon, hosted by jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer and her sister Carson Meyer, began in the garden terrace, fashionable guests like Ciara and Hough, who rocked a black, sheer Temperley London dress and black Stuart Weitzman heels, took their seats at white-clothed tables. Red roses stuffed in long, white centerpieces were placed on each one and topped with the words "Spread the Power of Love" in honor of Revlon's mission to do just that.

Attendees like Courteney Cox (above, with Cindy Crawford) and Melanie Griffith munched on arugula salads topped with burrata, tomatoes, and tapenade croutons. For the main course, guests noshed on dover sole, roasted chicken, french fries, and spinach.

With Rachel Roy (below, with Rachel Zoe and Hough) who wore a navy blazer, a For Restless Sleepers blouse, and bejeweled Rochas sandals, looking on, Dr. Slamon addressed the crowd about cancer research advancements for women. "We promise that we will continue making progress," he said. "We've delivered something different for women globally and that has made a difference."

In addition to honoring Dr. Slamon, the event also raised awareness for Revlon's 2016 philanthropic initiatives, including their 2nd annual "Love Is On" Million Dollar Challenge, which benefits causes focused on advancing women's health.
