Capitals prospect Madison Bowey deletes smokin’ Instagram

Hey, we’ve all been there. You’re chillin’. You want the world to know how you’re chillin’. So you decide to drop a video on social media to reveal that, yes, you are in fact totally chillin’.

Take Madison Bowey, a Washington Capitals defensive prospect currently playing for their AHL affiliate in Hershey, Pa.

He posted a video on Wednesday morning with a hood on, chillin’. The six-second Instagram clip showed him taking a drag from a long, loosely rolled brown-wrapper smoke of undetermined ingredients, and then blowing a cloud at the camera on his phone.

It was awesome! All it needed were slow-motion FX and some Dre beats. (Rather than Beats by Dre. Note the difference.)

Alas, we actually mean “too awesome for this world.” Bowey deleted the video within an hour of its posting. Perhaps due to that ominous (and hilarious) first comment in reference to Capitals coach Barry Trotz.

But that’s life, isn’t it? Full of lows and highs.

Bowey, 21, is a solid two-way defenseman with blunt physicality and blazing speed. He’s expected to challenge for a spot on the Capitals’ roster in the near future to play in Washington D.C., which in a completely unrelated fun fact made it legal in Feb. 2015 for adults to possess up to two ounces of marijuana and cultivate up to six plants in their home. Again, just some trivia for you about our nation’s capital. Totally unrelated.
