Browns RB Richardson day-to-day with rib injury

Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is considered day-to-day with a rib injury, ESPN.com reported Monday.

Richardson was hurt in the first quarter of Sunday's 34-24 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. He had 14 carries for 37 yards and spent most of the second half on the bench. The injury occurred when he took a helmet to his side.

Coach Pat Shurmur said Richardson had an MRI on Monday and he would likely be limited in practice this week.

If he cannot play, his replacement would probably be Montario Hardesty, who ran for 56 yards with a touchdown against the Bengals.

The Browns play at the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday.
