Boston University 68, Maryland-Baltimore County 59

Led by 19 points from Maurice Watson Jr. and 17 points from D.J. Irving, Boston University won its sixth straight game, picking up a 68-59 win Saturday night over Maryland-Baltimore County at the RAC Arena.

Watson, who added six assists, had just two points at halftime for the Terriers (17-11, 11-4 America East) as they near the end of their final season in the conference, leaving next year for the Patriot League.

Chase Plummer finished with 18 points and eight rebounds to lead the Retrievers (6-21, 4-10), who lost their fifth straight. All of Plummer's points came in the second half. Brian Neller added 13 points, Ryan Cook 11 and Joey Getz 10. Cook also had seven rebounds.

Boston University led throughout, going into half with a 28-17 lead, after Maryland-Baltimore County shot just 24 percent from the field in the first half and 37 percent for the game (19 of 51).

In the second half, the Retrievers were able to cut the lead to two with 8:35 left but could get no closer.

Two minutes later, Travis Robinson made a key 3-pointer to extend the Terriers' lead to 53-45, and they controlled the game the rest of the way.
