A lot has happened since the last time the Tennessee Titans had a winning streak

Breaking news: The Tennessee Titans have a win streak! It’s a modest one – they’ve won two straight games, Sunday against the Cleveland Browns and last week against the Miami Dolphins – but a streak nonetheless.

Tennessee beat the Browns 28-26, withstanding a comeback effort from Cleveland in the fourth quarter (a failed two-point conversion for the Browns kept it from potentially being a tie game and going to overtime), behind a strong offensive performance from second-year quarterback Marcus Mariota (17-of-24, 284 yards, three touchdowns, pick) and receiver Kendall Wright (8 catches, 133 yards, touchdown).

Sadly for Titans fans, however, it’s the first win streak the team has had in quite a while. How long, you ask? The last time Tennessee strung together back-to-back victories was in Weeks 16 and 17 of the 2013 season. Almost three years ago.

Which got us knuckleheads at Shutdown Corner thinking: what’s happened in the sports world and beyond in between the Titans’ streaks?

If the Titans win this week against the reeling Colts, thus giving them three straight wins, this list will get even longer – they haven’t had that kind of streak since Weeks 2, 3 and 4 of 2011.
