BASEBALL
Division I
Central 5, Portsmouth 4
Adonis Medina's walk-off 2-run homer lifted the Knights, who had been trailing 4-3 heading into the bottom of the seventh. Medina is hitting .524 on the season. The blast made a winner out of pitcher Aaron Vega. Central improves to 4-12 in league play, while the Patriots slip to 8-7.
Division III
Rogers 17, BVP/Central Falls 7
Robert Dufault was 2-2 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scores, Cole Marley drove in 3 more, going 2-2 with a run scored and Trenton Carter was 3-5 with 2 RBI as the Vikings scored early and often in this mercy rule-shortened game. Jack Rosa earned the win, striking out 6 over 3 innings. For BVP, Alex Torres drove in 3 runs on 2-4 hitting.
BOYS LACROSSE
Division I
La Salle 25, Portsmouth 5
The Rams (13-1) were led by Miles Marino with 6 goals and 1 assist, Drew Bradley had 5 goals and 1 assist, Matt Hayes had 2 goals and 4 assists, and Christian Koness had 2 goals and an assist. For the Patriots (3-10) Jack Colna was peppered with 40 shots and had 15 saves. Aiden Mason, Indy Pacheco, and Chase Pascoe each had 1 goal and 1 assist.
Division IV
Tiverton 11, Classical 0
Miles Cormier's 7 goals paved the way for Tiverton's victory over Classical. Aiden Champ also had 2 goals for the Tigers in the win. Goalie Edward Galts had 19 saves for the Purple in the loss.
BOYS TENNIS
Division II
Rogers-Middletown 6, Narragansett 1
The RMT Tide finish their inaugural season in 5th place in Division II and will advance to the playoffs.
