Nets’ Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson score 14 points in Team USA win over Jordan

Team USA played its third game of the 2023 FIBA World Cup on Wednesday against Jordan and won 110-62.

For Team USA, Anthony Edwards had 22 points and eight rebounds while Bobby Portis had 13 points and three steals off the bench. Jaren Jackson Jr. had 12 points and Jalen Brunson had 10 points.

For Jordan, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had 20 points and seven rebounds while Freddy Ibrahim had 10 points and four assists. Al Dwairi had nine points and Amin Abu Hawwas had five points.

In a game where the Americans had already made it to the knockout round of the tournament and Jordan is playing for placement at this point, this contest unfolded as expected. Team USA has been dominating its opponents in the games that counted and Jordan was no match as they fell behind the Americans 31-12 by the end of the first quarter.

Brooklyn Nets wings Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson had varied performances in this one. Bridges had nine points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field, three rebounds, and three steals while Johnson had five points on 1-of-5 shooting from the field along with two rebounds and three assists.
