Nets’ Kevin Durant makes Longhorns Hall of Honor Class

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has earned a prestigious athletic honor from the University of Texas.

The sharpshooting forward was one of 11 athletes selected for the Longhorns Texas Hall of Honor Class of 2022.

Durant will be honored alongside Longhorn legends: Sam Acho, B.J. Bedford, Ovie Dotson, Jonny Levine, Lindsay Gardner, Kate Golden, Robyne Johnson, Dustin Majewski, Kirk Stackle and Anne Grousbeck Matta.

Durant has had the most prestigious career, earning two NBA championships alongside two MVPs. The forward is a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist, who’s talents have earned him recognition as one of the league’s best scorers ever.

Majewski had major success with the University of Texas earning Team MVP in the Longhorns 2002 World Series title-run.

Durant is currently awaiting a trade from the Nets after requesting earlier this offseason. The team however, is patiently waiting on a trade package that will bring sufficient All-Star talent and future draft compensation to the organization.
