NC high school football scores, updates from Week 6 in Fayetteville area

We're at the halfway mark of the NCHSAA football season, and Week 6 games are set to serve up plenty of action.

Follow along here with our live scoreboard, which updates every 60 seconds, to see whether Cape Fear can deal Purnell Swett its first loss and if Seventy-First can stay unbeaten as it travels to Gray's Creek.

Several more interesting games are on this week's slate as we dig deeper into conference play. One worth noting is Triton at Terry Sanford. The Bulldogs (2-2, 1-0 All American) are ranked No. 26 among the state's 3A squads by MaxPreps, with the Hawks (3-1, 1-0) just four spots behind at No. 30.

Triton has put up more than 1,000 yards rushing in its four games while Terry Sanford has 657 on the ground to go with 732 in the air. Both offenses hum, so this game is likely to be decided on the other side of the ball.
