NBA Twitter reacts to Warriors keeping season alive with 121-106 win over Lakers in Game 5

Trailing 3-1 and facing elimination, the Golden State Warriors needed a win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday to extend their season. In a win-or-go-home situation, the defending champs handled business against the Lakers in Game 5. 

In the first half, the Warriors started fast, hitting a barrage of 3-pointers early. Steph Curry capped off the Warriors’ sharpshooting start with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer before halftime to take an 11-point advantage over the Lakers at the break. Behind 11 made triples, the Warriors tallied a playoff-high 70 points in the first half. 

Behind their strong start, the Warriors cruised to a much-needed win in Game 5. 121-106. 

While Curry lead the way with 27 points, Andrew Wiggins came alive in Game 5 with a 2023 playoff-high 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field with seven boards, five assists and a steal in 36 minutes. 

Draymond Green was all over the floor on Wednesday night, tallying 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 30 minutes.
