NBA Twitter reacts to Sixers moving on from Doc Rivers after 3 seasons

The Philadelphia 76ers will begin a new era when the 2023-24 season tips off as they will have a new voice in the head coaching chair. The Sixers have officially parted ways with Doc Rivers after three seasons at the helm that included a lot of winning, but three consecutive Round 2 exits.

Rivers had a winning percentage of .653 and changed a lot about the Sixers during his time on the job. They earned the No. 1 seed in 2021 for the first time since 2001 and they won 154 games under his guidance while helping Joel Embiid take the next steps.

There have already been a few names mentioned to replace Rivers including assistant Sam Cassell who won two titles as a player in the league. It will be interesting to see who the Sixers choose to replace Rivers as they continue on their championship path.
