NBA Twitter reacts to Kelly Oubre Jr., Sixers beating Nets in preseason

The Philadelphia 76ers picked up their first win of the preseason on Monday over the Brooklyn Nets by a final score of 127-119 thanks to 21 points from Kelly Oubre Jr. That was a positive on a night that could have been a disaster after losing Tyrese Maxey to back spasms.

Coach Nick Nurse said afterward that it was precautionary and that there is no major concern about Maxey. That is the good news as the Sixers just want to be sure everybody is healthy heading into the season on Oct. 26.

Oubre Jr. continues to look like a good addition to this team’s bench unit as he had a nice night offensively while also being a pest on defense. Tobias Harris added 18 points and nine rebounds, Paul Reed had 18 points, and De’Anthony Melton had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
