NBA Twitter reacts to Joel Embiid, Sixers knocking off Cavs before break
The Philadelphia 76ers were able to knock off the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday by a final score of 118-112 despite leading by as many as 28. Cleveland fought back and they pulled to within 112-108 with 1:30 left before the Sixers were able to find a way to close the game out and improve to 38-19 before heading into the All-Star break.
Joel Embiid led Philadelphia with 29 points with 14 rebounds and five assists as he was scoring almost at will against Cavs big men Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. Those are two very strong defensive bigs, but Embiid was able to have a lot of success against them.
James Harden had another nice night with 19 points and 12 assists, De’Anthony Melton had 17, Tobias Harris added 13, Tyrese Maxey had 16, and PJ Tucker also added 10. It was a nice all-around night for Philadelphia and it was something that was needed.
NBA Twitter reacted to the win as the Sixers now hit the break:

Sixers beat Cleveland, 118-112. They are 38-19 headed into the All-Star break.
First half was excellent on both ends, which means the second half had to be terrible on both ends. James Harden had some great drives. Joel Embiid and went to the power game to take the Sixers home.

Even if Tyrese Maxey spots up from half court he may still be quick enough to get a step on you. pic.twitter.com/JeAvQ0sclG

Rough third quarter for the Sixers, but a late Tyrese Maxey step-back three extends the lead back to 17. All-bench it appears to start the fourth. Hold on to your butts.
