People defending Jokic are comical. Ishbia absolutely held the ball on purpose. But that doesn’t justify Jokic losing his temper and shoving him.
Don’t assault the people watching the game. This really isn’t hard. https://t.co/rOD0mYJgha— Max (@maxmcc11) May 8, 2023
MAT ISHBIA IS OUR OWNER!!!!
AND HE’S A BOSS!!!! pic.twitter.com/GH3cbtXNiI— Saul Bookman (@Saul_Bookman) May 8, 2023
We’re acting like Mat Ishbia - a 5 foot 10 inch 43 year-old business man in seemingly ok shape - needs to sell contact when shoved by a 7 foot 300 pound professional athlete?

Jokic just tried to rip the ball out of hands of new Suns owner, then gave him a shove. Mat Ishbia played for Izzo at Michigan State. Jokic correctly gets a tech.

Suns owner Mat Ishbia and Nikola Jokic just had a tense moment. Jokic received a technical foul for shoving Ishbia. pic.twitter.com/1RxC5wNPPR

If Mat Ishbia was any other fan, he would've been ejected from the game. I don't think he'll get more than a slap on the wrist, but he should be suspended. An owner disrupting the flow of a game by denying a player the ball is an embarrassment for the league.

Mat Ishbia bought the Suns from Robert Sarver, traded for KD on his first day of work, and just got his team an extra point in a playoff game by goading a tech out of Jokic. He’s built different

Wow this is a whole new level of New Owner Syndrome. Ishbia!
— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) May 8, 2023
He embellished the contact a bit, but his feet looked set to me and Jokic extended the arm. Great charge, Mat Ishbia

Ishbia’s a dawg
