National Signing Day 2024: See what local athletes signed on Wednesday
Cumberland County high school senior athletes announced college signings Wednesday as part of National Signing Day across the country, with a few celebrating with public announcing throughout the city.
There were six signings in the county, three athletes from three different sports at Jack Britt High School, two football players from Pine Forest, and one from Gray's Creek football.
Back in December, Cape Fear's Jeremiah Melvin was a signee in the area, committing to Wake Forest University to begin his collegiate career in the fall. Anna Piland announced extending her tennis future at CalTech.
Here are the six signings from around the Cumberland County area, paired with the school they will attend.
