Nashville SC vs. FC Cincinnati in weather delay at TQL Stadium

Saturday's rivalry game at TQL Stadium between FC Cincinnati and Nashville SC is under a weather delay for a minimum 30 minutes. The game was scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. Central Time.

Lightning and severe weather in Cincinnati has been identified in the immediate area of the stadium. Fans in attendance who are exposed to the elements have been escorted to the stadium concourse and players have interrupted their respective warm-ups and returned to the locker room.

At each lightning strike within a 10-mile radius, the 30-minute waiting time for kickoff restarts.

The last game Nashville endured a weather delay was June 3, an eventual 2-1 win over FC Dallas. The game was delayed 21 minutes due to inclement weather at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

Cincinnati won the first matchup in March, 1-0, at Geodis Park. It was Cincinnati's first victory over Nashville in MLS. Before that, Nashville had gone 2-0-2 against Cincinnati.

At 6:50 p.m., Nashville announced an intended kick off time of 7:32 p.m. This time will stand as long as lightning or severe weather is not detected within a 10-mile radius of the stadium.
