Nashville Predators earn third straight victory with 4-2 win over Calgary Flames
The Nashville Predators have a three-game winning streak for the first time this season.
The Predators won 4-2 against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday at Bridgestone Arena on the same night that the team announced that David Poile will be the first inductee into the team's hall of fame.
Nashville took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission after an eventful start. Colton Sissons scored a shorthanded goal 2:33 into the game, but Noah Hanifin evened the score with a goal for Calgary. Ryan O'Reilly's goal off a rebound later in the first period gave the Predators a lead it would not relinquish.
After a back-and-forth scoreless second period, the Predators extended the lead in the third period with goals by Alexandre Carrier (his first of the season) and Juuso Parssinen (on the power play) to push the lead out to 4-1. Calgary's Yegor Sharangovich scored a shorthanded goal with 45 seconds remaining to cap the scoring.
Juuse Saros saved 24 of 26 shots. Nashville outshot Calgary 46-26.
