Muschamp tabs Lindsey for player personnel

South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp has tabbed Matthew Lindsey as the Gamecocks' new Director of Player Personnel.
Lindsey is a 2012 graduate of the University of Alabama and worked as a player personnel specialist in Tuscaloosa from 2010 until 2013. Lindsey then moved on to the NFL ranks, where he served as a scouting assistant for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was promoted to College Scouting Coordinator in 2014, and worked with the organization until February 2016.
South Carolina's most recent player personnel director, Robbie Liles, is now the program's Director of Football Operations. The USC graduate has been a part of the football staff for over 15 years, serving in a variety of roles. Liles began his career in Columbia as a recruiting graduate assistant. From there, he was promoted to Director of High School relations and later, Director of Recruiting Operations in 2013. He was retained by Will Muschamp upon his arrival in December 2015.
