Morikawa will stick with the PGA Tour, not LIV
Golf has come to this: it's now news when a player announces he's staying with the PGA Tour.
Collin Morikawa, the two-time major winner who led early in the U.S. Open before a disastrous Saturday, has reaffirmed his commitment to the PGA Tour. Hours after news broke that Brooks Koepka would jump to LIV, Morikawa took to Twitter to make his position clear.
To state for the record, once again, you all are absolutely wrong. I’ve said it since February at Riviera that I’m here to stay on the @PGATOUR and nothing has changed. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some cereal to pour in my milk

"I’ve said it since February at Riviera that I’m here to stay on the @PGATOUR," Morikawa wrote, "and nothing has changed."
While the PGA Tour has to be relieved that one of its brightest young stars is staying in the fold, several other major winners — Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Koepka — all affirmed their connection to the Tour back in February, only to reverse course once LIV became a reality.
Morikawa, already a two-time major winner, is exactly the kind of player that LIV covets: young, talented and likely to be an impact player in golf's biggest events for decades to come. Like Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas, he's sticking with the PGA Tour ... though it's now very much an open question which of his colleagues will be the next to jump.
