LOUISVILLE 55, MCKINLEY 49 (OT) Louisville outscored McKinley 10-4 in overtime as the Leopards won at home on Saturday. Brooke Haren had a game-high 27 points for Louisville. Courntey Barwick also had 12 points for the Leopards while Taylor McCully scored 10 points. Mya Taylor led McKinley with 22 points. Ky'Lonee Foster chipped in 15 points for the Bulldogs.

LOUDONVILLE 75, ALLIANCE 45 Corri Vermilya scored 29 points for Loudonville as Alliance fell on the road Saturday. Marzae Gantz led Alliance with 11 points. Jayla Callock and Kellyenne Paaloalo also had 10 points each for Alliance.

MINERVA 48, MALVERN 34 Lillie Stoltzfus had 11 points to lead Minerva to a win at home over Malvern. Nadia Mitchell scored 14 points to lead the Hornets.

CANTON SOUTH 60, ELLET 52 Three Canton South players scored in double figures as the Wildcats defeated host Ellet. The Wildcats in double figures were Tavon Castle with 18 points, Julius Kimbrough with 17 points and Will Sadler with 10 points. Jonathan Moledor led Ellet with 14 points.

NORTHWEST 71, ORRVILLE 59 Two Northwest players surpassed 20 points in a win over Orrville at home. Ian Ziegler scored 23 points and Tristan Pennington added 21 points for Northwest. Chase Badger also had 12 points for Northwest.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

LAKE 58, HOOVER 52 Serenitee Johnson scored 22 points and Emma Anderson added 14 in a Federal League win at home for the Blue Streaks (8-1, 4-1). Aubrey Fisher’s 23 points led Hoover (0-7, 0-6), while Lauren Moore scored 11.

BOYS BASKETBALL

HOOVER 42, LAKE 23 Ten Vikings scored, but none reached double figures in winning a Federal League game on the road. Crew Cain, Hudson Pringle, Gage Wagoner and Hunter Hershberger each scored six points to lead Hoover (4-3, 2-3). Wagoner also grabbed a team-best five rebounds. Lake is 0-7, including 0-5 in the league.

GREEN 54, PERRY 34 Antonio Martin scored 17 points and Brady Rollyson scored 10 in leading the Bulldogs (4-1, 3-1) to a Federal League win on the road.

CANTON SOUTH 78, CARROLLTON 58 Tavon Castle scored 24 points and Will Sadler added 18 as the Wildcats rolled to a nonleague win at home. Also scoring in double figures for the Wildcats (3-2) were Julius Kimbrough (14) and Poochie Snyder (10). Lincoln Mallarnee’s 26 points led Carrollton (1-6).

MARLINGTON 63, RAVENNA 50 Cameron Evanich scored 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor to lead the Dukes (3-3) to a win in the Alliance Christmas Classic at the University of Mount Union. Evanich, who hit both of his 3-point attempts, was selected as the game MVP. Beau Himmelheber added 16 points and five assists for Marlington, while Dylan Heatherington contributed 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Curtis Ross led Ravenna (3-5) with 17 points and six rebounds.

SANDY VALLEY 54, CLAYMONT 37 Dantae Faiello’s 20 points and four assists led the Cardinals to a home win. Nick Petro added 10 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three assists.

WEST BRANCH 58, FAIRLESS 39 Cooper Anderson and Gavin Gregory each recorded a double-double in West Branch’s nonleague win. Anderson scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the way. Gregory totaled 10 points and 10 rebounds, as West Branch held a 36-18 rebounding advantage. Jaxon Robb added 12 points, while Camden Lane contributed nine points and five assists. Carson Colucci scored 15 points and made five steals to lead Fairless, and Luke Schlabach had 11 points and four rebounds for the Falcons.

MALVERN 73, STRASBURG 30 J'Allen Barrino’s 24 points helped the Hornets (6-0, 4-0) roll to an IVC win at home. Mitch Minor added 12 points and six rebounds for Malvern. The Hornets have given up just 50 total points in their two wins this week.
