Minnesota family literally 'freezes their pants off': 'It's so cold'

A woman has shown just how cold it really is in Minnesota this winter.

TikToker @yooperjanet is quite literally “freezing her pants off.” Minnesota is one of the coldest states in the U.S. year-round. So you can imagine winter there is truly something else. In a charming Minnesotan accent, @yooperjanet explained what -28 degrees Fahrenheit with a -48-degree Fahrenheit wind chill factor was like in Alexandria, Minn. Apparently, it was so cold that anything she placed outside pretty much instantly froze.

“Yesterday, I was having fun freezing eggs and some spaghetti because it’s so cold here,” @yooperjanet explained. “Someone suggested that we freeze our pants. So last night as a family, we froze our pants off.”

The mom couldn’t stop laughing at the sight of the family’s frozen pants. There were four pairs of blue jeans standing straight up as if an invisible person was wearing each. There was a small toddler-sized pair, a kid-sized pair and two adult-sized pairs for mom and dad.

@yooperjanet knocked on the jeans to show how “rock hard” they were in the cold. She even moved them near the edge of the road so that passersby could catch a glimpse.

“Come on; it’s hilarious. My husband thinks it will cause an accident. I think it’s hilarious,” she said, laughing.

The funny video received over 4.3 million views on TikTok.

“Looks like an Old Navy display,” someone joked.

“Your next Christmas card picture, right there,” another suggested.

“I genuinely cannot even conceptualize it being that cold,” a user wrote.
