Milton softball rallies in 7th: South Shore high school top performers for April 22-28

School vacation week is over, so that means the spring high school sports season is fully ramped up.

Sunday, April 28

Boys Track & Field

Brockton finished 11th at the Division 1 State Relays. Lucas Andrade, Jaden Lopes-Ribeiro and Christopher Depina combined to win the high jump relay.

Saturday, April 27

Boys Lacrosse

Whitman-Hanson defeated Barnstable, 9-6, behind a hat trick from Joe Concannon. Luke Tropeano (goal) and Finn Olszewski each had 3 assists. David MacNeil made 12 saves.

Colin Carfagna had 2 goals in Bridgewater-Raynham's 16-4 loss to Needham.

Freshman Pat Connor (7 goals, 5 assists), Teddy Lynch (6 goals, 2 assists) and junior captain Will Codner (5 goals, 2 asssits) starred as Quincy/North Quincy defeated Somerville, 21-6.

Scituate defeated Nauset, 9-5, behind 20 saves from Lydon O'Brien and big games from Willy Robinson (4 goals) and Charlie Hartwell (3 goals).

Norwell defeated Hull, 20-1, as Devyn Blige made 9 saves.

SOFTBALL

Freshman Tess Murphy hit a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the seventh inning in Norwell's 10-9 win over Cohasset. Penny Saich went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

BASEBALL

Carver swept a double-header against Nantucket (4-1, 7-3). Ryder Holmes tossed a complete game with 11 strikeouts and 5 hits allowed. Brady Shuffain went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. In Game 2, Shuffain had a complete game with 1 earned run allowed and Holmes had 2 RBIs. Colin Eakins scored 2 runs and reached base three times.

Rockland defeated Hull, 11-9, as Shawn Boostrom pitched well in relief to get the win and went 2-for-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBIs.

Norwell defeated Plymouth South, 6-4, behind a solid start from Colin McCarthy (6 innings, 1 earned run, 2 hits, 7 strikeouts). He also went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD

East Bridgewater finished second at the Div. 5 State Relay. Aiden Toomey, Emre Barbosa and Brennan Shea combined for first in the triple jump. Brady Simon, Tim Heath, Barbose and Shea took first in the hurdle shuttle.

Friday, April 26

SOFTBALL

Oliver Ames' Taylor Marino earned the victory in the circle and was 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs in a 17-2 win over Sharon. Crystyliah Covel was 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs, and Devon Morris (3-for-4, 2 runs), Ava Tracia (2-for-3, run) and Katherine Farley (1-for-2) each drove in a pair of runs.

Abington's Elsie Testa threw a 1-hitter with 15 strikeouts and did not allow an earned run in a 7-2 win over Rockland. She also was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and 2 runs scored. Kasie Bailey hit a 2-run homer for the Green Wave (9-0), and Riley Agnew (double, RBI) and Calli Pineau (RBI, run) each was 1-for-3.

Milton's Shakura Lynch (home run), Cara Facey, Sadie Steuterman and Ellie McConville each had 2 hits as the Wildcats rallied to beat Needham, 10-9, in walk-off fashion. Milton (7-0) trailed 9-5 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning.

Archbishop Williams' Candace Sumner delivered a walk-off RBI groundout to score Rosa McLaughlin from third base in a 4-3 victory over Braintree. Jill Ondrick struck out 17 in the complete-game victory and was 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Regan Parr (2-for-5, run) also homered, and Alyssa Burke was 2-for-5 with a run for the Bishops (8-1).

Notre Dame Academy's Shannon Macleod earned the win in the circle and was 4-for-5 with 5 RBIs in a 15-6 victory over Fontbonne Academy. She allowed 4 hits and 2 earned runs with 7 strikeouts. Claire Ferrara (5-for-5, RBI), Jess Chiarenza (3-for-4, 3 RBIs) and Olivia Mainvielle (2-for-5, 3 RBIs) starred at the plate for NDA (4-1).

West Bridgewater beat Bourne, 5-3, with big games from Cassidy Perrault (2-for-4, double, 2 RBIs), Neala Boyd (3-for-4, run) and Haylee Krakowski (2-for-2, double, RBI, run).

Duxbury defeated Weymouth, 9-7.

Norwell defeated Cohasset, 10-9.

BASEBALL

Weymouth's Matt Oates did not allow an earned run over 6 innings with 4 strikeouts in an 11-1 win over Whitman-Hanson. Gill Dolan (3-for-4, double, triple, 3 RBIs), Andrew Daley (2-for-3, triple, RBI), Alex Munchbach (2-for-4, 3 RBIs) and Devin Kelsch (2-for-3, 2 RBIs) starred at the plate for the Wildcats (5-6). Evan Yakavonis was 2-for-3, and Jason Nye had a strong defensive debut for W-H (7-3) at third base.

Abington's John Sellon earned the win on the mound, allowing 6 hits and 1 earned run over 5 innings with 8 strikeouts, in an 18-2 victory over Rockland. He also was 3-for-5 with a double, 3 RBIs and a run for the Green Wave (8-2). Ryan Solimini (1-for-4, triple), Cullen Crocker (2-for-3, double, 2 runs) and Jacob Centrella (1-for-3, run) each had 3 RBIs. Stephen Madden, Patrick Cummings and Cam Cooper each drove in a run.

Braintree freshman Luke Joyce (4-0) threw a 4-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in a 9-0 win over Hingham. Sean Canavan hit a 2-run home run and added an RBI single for the Wamps (9-1), and Max King was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

South Shore Tech's Tyrin MacDonald got the complete-game win and was 2-for-3, drove in the winning run and scored twice in a 3-2 victory over Old Colony.

Norwell's Jack Magee allowed 2 hits and 1 earned run over 6-plus innings in a 3-1 win over Cohasset. Will Corbin (3-for-4, RBI) and Ky Princi (2-for-4, RBI) also starred for the Clippers (6-2). Cohasset is 5-5.

Cardinal Spellman's Tyler Alsen worked 6 innings, allowing 5 hits with 6 strikeouts, while going 2-for-3 with 2 runs and 2 stolen bases in a 7-4 win over Weston. Michael Boutiette and Johnny Petruzzo (2-for-3, 2 steals) each drove in a pair of runs, and Caleb Foster closed out the game in his varsity pitching debut.

Silver Lake's Jack Quigley went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and 3 stolen bases in a 9-3 win over East Bridgewater. Kevin O’Keefe pitched 5⅔ innings, giving up 3 hits and 3 runs. R.J. Thorp and Anthony Miele each had 2 hits and combined for 5 RBIs.

Oliver Ames' Jake Willard was 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs and pitched 5 strong innings in a 7-2 win over Sharon. OA also got solid games from Drew Hall (3 RBIs), AJ Baroncelli (2 hits), Thomas Whiteside (2 hits), Ryan Smith (good defense) and Alex Saade (2 innings in relief, 1 hit, 4 strikeouts).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Ava Smith stopped 10 shots and Elle Murphy (5 goals, assist) led the offense in Cardinal Spellman's 8-4 win over Fontbonne Academy. Devyn DuBose had 2 goals and 2 assists.

Rockland's Lila Leander scored her second goal of the game in OT to lead the Bulldogs to a 6-5 win over East Bridgewater. Molly Lucas added a hat trick, Bella Panaro also scored, and Christine Oteri made 8 saves. EB's Charlotte Wilcox made 26 saves, and Jenny Francione had a hat trick.

South Shore Tech's Peyton Mathisen scored 8 goals in a 19-5 win over Bristol Aggie. Andrea Fernandes added a hat trick for the Vikings (8-0), and Hannah Nota, Sophie Bovill, Ava Miller and Bella Humphreys each scored twice.

Duxbury's Mackenzie Kingston scored in OT to beat Norwell, 10-9. In the loss, the Clippers (4-4) got big games from Charlise Cox (7 goals), Danielle Cox (2 goals) and Charlotte Pithie (10 saves).

Braintree's Ava MacDonald had 5 goals and 4 assists in a 14-10 win over Mansfield.

Whitman-Hanson's Shannon Balfe had a hat trick, Abby Nash and Maddy Geagan each scored twice, and Liv Godwin made 13 saves in a 10-3 win over New Bedford for the Panthers (5-4).

BOYS LACROSSE

Abington's Jonathan Halpin had a hat trick and Ian Barrett added 3 assists in a 12-5 loss to Plymouth South.

Rockland's Tyler Boehner had a hat trick in a 16-1 win over East Bridgewater.

Plymouth North's Owen Kelly had a hat trick in a 6-2 win over Monomoy.

South Shore Tech defeated Westport, 13-2.

Duxbury beat Cohasset, 15-3.

GIRLS TENNIS

Bridgewater-Raynham edged Silver Lake, 3-2, getting singles wins from Nicole Kimball and Eily Mitchell and a doubles victory from the team of Lily Cooley/Tamia McQueen.

Archbishop Williams beat St. Mary's (Lynn), 4-1, getting singles wins from Addie Woodgate and Cat Crowley and sweeping the doubles with the teams of Bella Buonopane/Grace York and Maria Froio/Elle Froio.

Notre Dame Academy defeated Fontbonne Academy, 5-0.

BOYS TENNIS

Middleboro defeated Carver, 5-0, as Connor McNaughton (first singles), Tyler Heidke (second singles) and Theodore Collins (third singles) swept their matches.

BOYS RUGBY

Braintree's David Pressman scored the winning try in the final 30 seconds to lift the Wamps (2-1) over Brookline, 20-17.

GIRLS RUGBY

Weymouth defeated Brookline, 19-10, at home.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

North Quincy defeated Barnstable, 3-0, with scores of 25-23, 25-22, 26-24.

Milton defeated Hingham, 3-0.

GIRLS GOLF

Duxbury beat Scituate, 6-0, with wins from Harper Capilli, Caroline Donovan, Ava Welch, Hailey Flynn, Geneveive Taylor and Marley Hamilton.

Thursday, April 25

BASEBALL

Winning pitcher Stephen Madden (2-1) threw a complete-game 5-hitter with no earned runs, 2 walks and 10 strikeouts as Abington beat Cardinal Spellman, 8-1. Starring at the plate for the Green Wave were: Ryan Solimini (2-for-3, triple, run), Madden (2-for-4, double, 2 RBIs, 2 runs), Patrick Cummings (2-for-4, RBI), A.J. Nash (2-for-2, triple, 2 runs) and Cam Cooper (RBI). Spellman was led by Michael Boutiette (2-for-3), John Petruzzo (2-for-3, run), Ben Catton (1-for-2, RBI) and Brady Flaherty (4 innings of 1-hit relief).

Whitman-Hanson's Dan Joyce and Ryan Baker had key hits in the 9th inning to lead the Panthers (7-2) to a 3-2 win over Hingham. W-H's David McNaught pitched 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 10. Bobby Baker and Tommy Crowley each threw an inning in relief.

Hanover's Cole Hendrickson struck out 11 batters, and Thomas Perkins collected 3 hits in an 8-1 win over North Quincy 8-1. North Quincy's Ronan Brown (2 steals) and Charlie Baker (double) each had a pair of hits, Aidan Bridges allowed 3 earned runs over 5 innings with 4 strikeouts, and Aidan McCarthy plated NQ's lone run with a sacrifice fly.

Canton's Chris Pirrera threw a complete-game 3-hitter with 8 strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Foxboro. Shane Kelleher was 2-for-4 with a triple and 2 RBIs.

Bridgewater-Raynham's Cam Santos threw a complete-game 1-hitter with 9 strikeouts in a 5-2 win over Brockton.

Silver Lake's Shane Hackett allowed 1 hit over 5 innings with 6 strikeouts in a 10-0 win over Marshfield. Jack LaNatra, Collin Monteiro and RJ Thorp had 2 hits each and combined for 6 RBIs.

Plymouth South's Joe Rogan struck out 10 over 5 innings of relief to get the decision in a 12-4 win over Quincy. Colin Ducie did not allow a run over 2 innings and was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and 2 RBIs. Cam Tetler was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI for the Panthers (3-6), and Paul Perry drove in 2 runs.

Pembroke beat Scituate, 5-1.

SOFTBALL

Bridgewater-Raynham freshman Chloe Martin pitched her first varsity shutout, beating Brockton, 13-0, in 5 innings. She allowed 2 hits and no walks with 8 strikeouts. Olivia Roy (2 hits, triple, 3 RBIs, run), Ava Selter (hit, 3 RBIs, run) and Talia Faria (triple, 3 runs) led the offense for B-R (5-3).

Silver Lake's Madyson Bryan (4-for-4) and Delaney Moquin (3-for-4) had big days as the Lakers (6-2, 5-0 Patriot League) banged out 19 hits in a 12-0 win over Marshfield. Moquin also threw a 1-hitter with 12 strikeouts.

Hingham's Bilyana Wilkin threw a 4-hit shutout with 6 strikeouts in an 8-0 win over Whitman-Hanson. Kate Schulte was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and had 5 assists and 3 putouts at shortstop. Sienna Powers and Jess Mulrey each drove in 2 runs. Whitman-Hanson's Kaylee Butterfield and Emi Cooke each had a pair of hits, and Victoria Sheehan stole 2 bases.

South Shore Tech's Allie Blanchard was 4-for-5 with a home run and 3 RBIs in a 17-9 loss to Norfolk Aggie. Lindsey Lincolne went 2-for-3 with a double and and RBI.

Plymouth North defeated Duxbury, 13-5.

Bridgewater-Raynham defeated Brockton, 13-0.

Quincy/North Quincy defeated Hanover, 7-6.

Oliver Ames' Thomas Hern (2) and Ryan Jaco had goals in a 14-3 loss to North Attleboro. Goalie Ethan St. Jean made 15 saves.

Bridgewater-Raynham got hat tricks from Jayson Kelleher and Brendan Rosher in an 8-5 win over Whitman-Hanson. Nikos Triantafillou (2 goals) and Colin Carfagna (5 assists) also starred for the Trojans (6-2). W-H goalie David MacNeil made 11 saves, and Connor McCarthy had 2 goals and an assist.

Stoughton's Jack Carr scored in a 20-1 loss to Foxboro.

Milton defeated Braintree, 16-3.

Scituate's Willy Robinson (7 goals, 2 assists), Charlie Hartwell (4 goals, 4 assists) and Owen Hofford (goal, 5 assists) starred in a 19-6 win over Bishop Feehan for the Sailors (7-2).

GIRLS LACROSSE

Weymouth defender Molly Tufts starred in a 15-13 win over Natick. Megan Doyle had 10 points and 10 draw controls for the Wildcats (6-3), and Mira Flaherty and Kendall Rogers each finished with 4 points.

Oliver Ames' Kayla Isleib and Taylor McAndrew each scored 5 goals in a 13-6 win over North Attleboro. Olivia O’Rourke was strong on the draw, and goalie Olivia Magee also played well for the Tigers (7-3).

Bridgewater-Raynham lost to Barnstable, 13-12, despite big games from Emily Keefe (5 goals, 2 assists), Lexi White (3 goals) and Emily Long (2 goals).

Pembroke's Maggie O'Malley scored 4 goals in a 12-7 win over Abington.

Notre Dame Academy defeated Cohasset, 14-4. Molly Campbell scored twice for the Skippers (5-1) in the loss. NDA is 9-1.

Braintree's Ava MacDonald registered her 100th career point in a 16-10 win over Milton that pushed the Wamps' record to 5-2.

East Bridgewater's Abby O’Connor and Lilia Fagundes scored in a 12-2 loss to Plymouth South.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hingham beat Whitman-Hanson, 5-0, getting singles wins from Sam Ruddick, Gabi Magner and Katie Whitlock and doubles victories from the teams of Maddie Cusack/Sienna Besser and Tess Green/Izzy Whitlock. Hingham is 5-1 (5-0 Patriot League).

Marshfield edged Silver Lake, 3-2, getting singles wins from Olivia Gilbert and Grace DeOrsay, plus a doubles victory from the team of Sarah Hubbard/Hailey Johnson.

East Bridgewater lost to Rockland, 3-2. The Vikings got their points at first singles (Ella Rix) and second singles (Olivia Connors).

In a 3-2 loss to Attleboro, Oliver Ames got points from Hannah Farber and Stella Zachos.

Bridgewater-Raynham beat New Bedford, 5-0, getting singles wins from Nicole Kimball, Eily Mitchell and Caroline Stull, plus doubles victories from the teams of Lily Cooley/Tamira McQueen and Chloe Nichols/Selena Georgakopolos.

Notre Dame Academy's Sophia Lirio won the deciding match in a third-set tiebreaker to beat Bishop Feehan, 3-2. NDA's other points came from the doubles teams of Clara Healey/Skye Bunge and Molly Dunigan/Julia Walsh.

BOYS TENNIS

Oliver Ames' Nick Westerbeke won at first singles, but the Tigers lost to Attleboro, 4-1.

Hingham beat Whitman-Hanson, 5-0, getting singles wins from Ethan Warhaftig, Eric Li and Brady Gannon and doubles victories from the teams of Evan Lynch/Hector Munoz and Jack Webb/Shlok Patel.

Bridgewater-Raynham beat New Bedford, 3-2, getting wins at first singles (Banks Beckwith), second singles (Thomas Hammond) and first doubles (Wyatt Cooley/Andrew Wagner).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

BC High's Ben Cleary (18 kills) and Mason Cleary (17 kills, 21 digs) starred in a 3-2 win over Milford. Liam Poole and Remi Roko combined for 15 blocks for the Eagles (7-2), who won, 29-27, 26-24, 15-25, 23-25, 15-7.

New Bedford defeated Quincy, 3-1.

Wednesday, April 24

GIRLS LACROSSE

Erin Rennie (4 goals), Emily Keefe (4 goals, 2 assists) and Ashley McLaren (3 goals) led Bridgewater-Raynham to a 14-5 win over Silver Lake. Ainsley Yates made 11 saves. Maggie Keller made 10 saves in the loss.

Hingham defeated Norwell, 11-4, as Lily Samoska made 6 saves and Grace Maroney and Caroline Connolly each had hat tricks. Danielle Cox (goal, assist) and Charlise Cox (2 assists) both had 2 points in the loss.

Marshfield defeated Plymouth South, 17-8.

Hanover defeated Quincy, 16-4, as Eva Kelliher had 5 goals, including the 100th of her career. Charlotte Wheeler made 14 saves.

Bailey Kelly (3 goals) and Shannon Balfe (2 goals, assist) had 3-point days while Liv Godwin had 9 saves in Whitman-Hanson's 8-4 win over Pembroke.

Archbishop Williams' Clare O'Keefe (3 goals, 4 assists), Emily Fleming (4 goals), Avery Valicenti (2 goals, 3 assists), Caroline Batchelder (2 goals, 2 assists) and Molly Madaio (goal) starred in a 15-12 loss to Ursuline Academy.

Duxbury defeated Plymouth North, 15-1.

Ben Tondorf scored 6 goals in South Shore Tech's 14-7 win over Blue Hills. Todd Egan chipped in 4.

Cardinal Spellman defeated Southeastern, 9-7.

Whitman-Hanson defeated Pembroke, 9-6.

Sandwich defeated Hanover, 8-6.

Braintree defeated Milton, 16-0, as Sean O'Rourke had 4 hits and 4 RBIs. Max Deroche threw a 5-inning shutout with 9 strikeouts and 3 hits allowed and Hayden Regan had 2 hits, 2 walks and 3 stolen bases. Sam Garrity had a 2-run double.

Stephen Ondrick went 2-for-3 with a 3-run home run and 4 RBIs in Archbishop Williams' 14-1 win over Cardinal Spellman. Sean Higgins earned his first varsity win with 4 shutout innings and Joseph Schwartz had 3 runs and 3 RBIs. Christopher Swirbalus and Joshua Turcotte each had a double and 2 RBI.

East Bridgewater's Colin Meserve tossed a 2-hitter with 10 strikeouts in a 5-0 win over Cohasset. He needed only 74 pitches. Jaden Lovell drove in 2 runs with a 2-out double in the fifth. Matt Werra had 2 hits and scored twice.

Apponequet defeated West Bridgewater, 8-0. Jag Garces had 2 hits and pitched well in the loss.

Liam Barr (5 innings, 4 strikeouts, 2 earned runs) earned his first varsity win in Weymouth's 12-2 victory over Natick. Matt Suplee and Johnny Pires each had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

Liam Shepherd went 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored in Norwell's 9-7 win over Mashpee. Jake Horwitz had 2 hits and 2 runs. Corbin Gravina was 1-for-1 with a double, 2 RBIs and 2 walks.

Bridgewater-Raynham lost to Durfee, 6-1, despite a solid start from Jack Ritchie (6 innings, 1 earned run).

BC High suffered its first loss of the season, 8-7 at St. John's (Shrewsbury). The Eagles are 8-1.

SOFTBALL

Abington defeated Hingham, 7-1, as Brenna Howley, Kasie Bailey and Jess Blyth each hit solo home runs. Elsie Testa pitched a complete game with 4 hits and 1 earned run allowed for the Green Wave (8-0).

Bella Pires and Paige Sellon led the offense, but Weymouth lost to Natick.

Devon Morris's sacrifice fly plated Crystyliah Covel for the winning run in Oliver Ames's 3-2 win over North Attleboro. Taylor Marino earned the win on the mound without allowing an earned run. Katherine Farley was 2-for-3 with a double, the tying RBI and caught 2 runners stealing.

Paide Medico went 3-for-3 with 2 runs in Carver's 6-1 win over Sandwich while Lyla Moore struck out 11. Sarah Langtry (RBI) and Ali Perry both went 2-for-4.

Jill Ondrick struck out 15 in Archbishop Williams' 5-1 win over Cardinal Spellman. Alyssa Burke went 2-for-3 with 2 runs for the Bishops (7-1).

The Wildcats (6-0) raced out to a 10-1 lead and withstood a late rally by the Wamps (4-3). Maloney, playing first base, took a relay throw from right fielder Christina McA'Nulty and threw a runner out at the plate to end the game. Gabby Diaute (1-for-3, 2 RBIs, 2 runs) and Eva Surette (2-for-4, 2 RBIs) were standouts for Braintree.

East Bridgewater defeated Cohasset, 5-3, behind big days from Olivia Atkins (home run, 2 RBIs, 2 runs) and Sarah Silvia (2 hits, 2 runs). Maggie Schlossberg struck out 11 while earning the win.

BOYS TENNIS

Archbishop Williams edged Arlington Catholic, 3-2, getting wins from Addie Woodgate (first singles), Cat Crowley (second singles) and the second doubles team of Rory Shields/Alannah Kearney.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD

Canton's Evan Tam won the triple jump (35-10.5), and JJ Faulk (triple jump, 100m) and Luke Darling (mile, 2-mile) each had a pair of second-place finishes in a 95-41 loss to Stoughton.

Blue Hills' Geovanni Graziano, Julian Joseph and Alexander Caridad starred in wins over Holbrook, 100-36, and Wareham, 92-44.

Hingham's A.J. Barret won the high jump, long jump (21-7) and 110m hurdles (PR :15.8), and Sam Reffue won the 100m (PR :11.20) and 200m (PR :22.59) in a 108-28 victory over Whitman-Hanson. Nick Harris also set PRs in winning the 400m hurdles and 800m. Whitman-Hanson was led by Jake Cappelletti, who won the triple jump (40-6) and was second in both the long jump (21-0) and 110m hurdles (:16.64).

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD

Canton's Maddie Driscoll won the mile and 2-mile, and Katie Oliver won the triple jump and long jump and was second in the 100m in a 69-67 win over Stoughton.

In a 95-41 win over Whitman-Hanson, Hingham got wins from Zoe Schulze (javelin), Morgan Feeley (triple jump), Jasai Shakespeare (long jump) and Nina Crean (200m). Whitman-Hanson got wins from Sky Anderson (mile, 5:56), McKenna McCarthy (2-mile, 13:20) and Keryn Stone (shot put, 29-7).

West Bridgewater's Aly Bassett won three events, including the high jump, where she set a new school record of 5-2 while bettering her PR by 4 inches, in a 99-33 win over Fairhaven. Also for WB (2-0), Ella Dunbury won the 800m and mile; Kerri Gomes won the discus and 400m and ran on the winning 4x400m relay; Alyssa Caldeira won the triple jump and 100m; and seventh-graders Emma Pope (2-mile) and Kayla Walker (400m hurdles) posted wins.

Braintree defeated Quincy, 3-1. In the loss, the Presidents (3-5) had 38 kills on 37 assists with 6 blocks and 60 digs as a team.
