Mike Conley scores 30 as Grizzlies beat Spurs

Mike Conley finished with 30 points to help the Memphis Grizzlies defeat the San Antonio Spurs, 95-87. The Grizzlies shot lights out, finishing 35-72 (48.6%) from the field, including 7-15 (46.7%) from beyond the arc. Memphis (23-8) has now won back-to-back games after defeating Miami Heat on Saturday.

Conley finished 10-13 from the field (4-5 on 3-pointers) and 6-7 from the free throw line, in a solid performance. Other top performers for Memphis were Marc Gasol with 17 points and nine rebounds, and Tayshaun Prince with 12 points and six rebounds. On 7-13 shooting, including 4-7 from behind the arc, Marco Belinelli put up 18 points for San Antonio in the loss.

This drops San Antonio (19-14) to 1-2 against Memphis on the year.

Coming up, the Grizzlies take on the Los Angeles Lakers, who are 9-22 on the season. The Spurs meet the New Orleans Pelicans, currently sitting at 16-15 this year. The Grizzlies came away with a win in two straight games against Los Angeles. The Spurs have fallen to New Orleans the last two times they have met.
