Michigan State football gets first four-star recruit of 2024: RB Anthony Carrie

Michigan State football has reeled in its first big get for the recruiting class of 2024.

On Saturday afternoon, Anthony Carrie, a four-star running back from Carrollwood Day in Tampa, Florida, posted on social media that he was committed to playing for the Spartans in college.

Carrie, ranked the No. 22 running back and No. 43 player in Florida for 2024 in 247 Sports' composite rankings, had offers from LSU, Maryland and Miami (Florida), among others.

In the last two seasons for Carrollwood, 247 Sports reports that Carrie has 289 rushing attempts for 1,951 yards and 36 touchdowns.

After reportedly making his official visit to East Lansing on Friday, Carrie made his verbal commitment a day later.

Carrie, listed at 6-foot and 185 pounds, is the first ball carrier and first four-star prospect for MSU's class, which is ranked 64th in the nation by 247 Sports. It is last in the Big Ten.
