Michigan State football Director of Player Personnel heading to Kansas as Director of Scouting
On Monday, the Michigan State football staff took a sizable hit as MSU’s Director of Player Personnel, Scott Aligo, was reported to have accepted a job for Kansas as their Director of Scouting. The news was first reported by The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.
Aligo has strong college and NFL experience and has been considered a strong part of the team. After just one season with the Spartans, Aligo will now take a larger role with Kansas, a testament to Mel Tucker’s ability to spot great talent for his staff, although I’m sure he would’ve preferred to keep him in East Lansing for a bit longer.
SOURCES: Michigan State Dir. of Player Personnel Scott Aligo is expected to go home to #Kansas as the Jayhawks new director of scouting. Aligo, a former NFL scout and KU grad, played a key role in MSU landing 16 transfers the past year, should really help Jayhawks on that front.
