Michael Jordan NASCAR team bringing UNC-themed car to Coca-Cola 600

Michael Jordan’s NASCAR team will bring some North Carolina Tar Heels flavor to the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Memorial Day weekend.

Tyler Reddick’s No. 45 Toyota car for 23XI Racing will feature a Carolina blue paint scheme – a nod to Jordan’s days with the Tar Heels – and the signature Jumpman logo.

The car was revealed Wednesday morning in a video posted on 23XI Racing’s Twitter account.

Denny Hamlin, a minority partner of Jordan’s race team, won the 2022 Coca-Cola 600. The 64th running of NASCAR’s longest race is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. (FOX) Sunday.

Jordan, a 1982 NCAA champion at UNC and six-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls, partnered with Hamlin in 2020. In 2021, the team’s debut season, Bubba Wallace earned his first career win at Talladega driving the No. 23 Toyota. Reddick earned his first win with 23XI in March at Circuit of the Americas in Texas.
