Who is starting for the Mets?

Carlos Carrasco (2-2, 5.94 ERA), who's looking to bounce back after allowing four runs on six hits over five innings against the Atlanta Braves on June 6. The veteran right-hander earned a no-decision in the outing, and has gone 2-0 over his last three starts.

Carrasco earned two straight victories after allowing one run in back-to-back outings on May 25 and May 31 against the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Phillies, respectively. The 36-year-old pitched at least six innings in both wins, but last only five innings in the no-decision against the Braves.

He is 2-0 with a 2.78 ERA with 28 strikeouts in four starts against the Pirates over his career.

Who is starting for the Pirates?

Right-hander Mitch Keller (7-2, 3.60 ERA) suffered a loss last time out on June 6, letting up five earned runs on eight hits over 5.1 IP against the Oakland A's. Overall, he has been very impressive this season with 94 strikeouts over 80 innings of work across 13 starts.

Keller is 4-2 over his last seven starts with a 3.65 ERA and 1.13 WHIP, totaling 54 strikeouts over 44.1 innings and allowing 18 runs on 41 hits. Prior to his loss against the A's, Keller won back-to-back starts against the Seattle Mariners and San Francisco Giants and had pitched at least six innings over five straight May starts.

Upcoming schedule

The Mets get Monday off before taking on the Yankees in the first Subway Series matchup of the season on Tuesday night at 7:10 p.m. at Citi Field.
