Mets announce player development and minor league staff for 2024 season
The Mets have announced their player development and minor league coaching staffs for the 2024 season, headlined by new Senior VP of Player Development Andy Green.
Green served as the Chicago Cubs’ bench coach under manager David Ross and was offered another position in the organization after Ross’ firing but decided to join the Mets in a senior role instead.

Former Mets bench coach Dick Scott is returning for his 11th season with the organization and his second as the manager for Triple-A Syracuse, alongside his bench coach and assistant hitting coach, former big-league catcher J.P. Arencibia.
Another former big-leaguer, Reid Brignac, is back as the lead man for Double-A Binghamton after leading them to the Eastern League Championship Series for the first time since 2017.
Gilbert Gomez has received a promotion to the High-A Brooklyn Cyclones, and his bench coach from last season, Yucarybert De la Cruz will serve as the St. Lucie Mets manager.
