Major awards

Overall MVP

Alex Baltov

Caddo Magnet, Sr.

Why selected: One of the best midfielders in the area and a Louisiana All-Star, Baltov finished the season as his district’s overall co-MVP tallying 17 goals and 23 assists.

Offensive MVP

David Rojas

Bossier, Sr.

Why selected: Another one of the best midfielders in Shreveport-Bossier and an All-Star, Rojas captained his team to its third straight appearance in the Division III semifinals finishing the season with 12 goals and 15 assists.

Defensive MVP

Turner Hubbard

Benton, Sr.

Why selected: An All-State second-team player as a junior and this season’s Division 1-1 defensive MVP, Hubbard has been one of the most solid defenders in the state the last few years.

Coach of the Year

Michael Marston, Haughton

Why selected: Coach Marston and his team went undefeated in district this season on their way to Haughton’s first district championship.

FIRST TEAM

Garrett Gullet

Byrd, Sr.

Position: Forward

Why selected: The Yellow Jacket finished the year with 17 goals and six assists on his way to offensive MVP honors in District 1-1.

Jose Gomez

Captain Shreve, Jr.

Position: Forward

Why selected: A first-team district honoree, Gomez led the line for Captain Shreve’s district championship team finishing strong with 20 goals.

Abdal Zidan

Haughton, Sr.

Position: Forward

Why selected: The Division II, District 1 offensive MVP helped lead the Bucs to their first district title with a hat trick in the championship game against Magnet.

Andrew Bradford

Captain Shreve, Sr.

Position: Midfielder

Why selected: Arguably one of the best in the area, the District 1-1 overall MVP and All-Star led his team to its second consecutive district title with 22 goals this season.

Chase Clutter

Benton, Sr.

Position: Midfielder

Why selected: One of the most versatile attacking players in the area, Clutter earned District 1-1 first-team honors and an All-Star nod finishing the season with 15 goals and three assists.

Alexis Serrano

Bossier, Sr.

Position: Midfielder

Why selected: Serrano, a Division III, District 1 first-team selection, was an important part of Bossier’s midfield on the Bearkats’ way to the Division III semifinals.

Zian Toves

Benton, Jr.

Position: Midfielder

Why selected: Toves is a gifted set-piece taker who finished the season with three goals and 13 assists, the most assists in his district.

Carter Ebarb

Haughton, Sr.

Position: Midfielder

Why selected: Making his second consecutive appearance on All-Metro, Ebarb captained his team to its first district championship earning co-Overall MVP honors in Division II, District 1.

Matt Booras

Byrd, Sr.

Position: Defender

Why selected: Byrd’s captain earns his third straight appearance on the All-Metro first team.

JeanCarlos Contreras

Bossier, Sr.

Position: Defender

Why selected: The Bearkat defender anchored a strong Bossier defense and earned Division III, District 1 defensive MVP honors.

Daniel Lee

Parkway, Sr.

Position: Defender

Why selected: Arguably the best defender in the area and one of the best in the state, Parkway’s Division II, District 1 defensive MVP makes his third straight appearance on the All-Metro team.

Logan Bamburg

Bossier, Jr.

Position: Goalkeeper

Why selected: A leader at the back, the Bearkat shot stopper allowed seven goals in the regular season.
