Meet the 2023 Nolensville Little League World Series team: Every player, superstition
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Making it to the 2023 Little League World Series hasn't been as easy as 1-2-3 for Nolensville Little League.
The team won four elimination games to capture the Southeast Region championship. The victory pushed the program from just south of Nashville to South Williamsport for the third consecutive year.
Nolensville finished fourth last season after falling to eventual champion Hawaii in the United States championship game.
This year's version of the team features a dozen 12-year-olds, including pitcher/outfielder/first baseman Stella Weaver, the first girl in the history of the Tennessee-based league. Nolensville manager Randy Huth becomes the first manager in history to lead a program to three consecutive Little League World Series appearances.
