Meet the 2023 All-Gainesville Area Girls Golf Team and Golfer, Coach of the Year
One mantra motivated Katelyn Huber this campaign on the course.
Continue the dominance.
As a freshman, Huber finished second at states and was the Sun’s Girls Golfer of the Year. Last season, a similar dominance followed.
This season, with colleges watching, she hoped to not suffer a setback.
She did not.
Huber finished sixth at states, with the lowest overall score locally. She won districts, finished in second on the boys side at the Alachua County Tournament and the Girls County Tournament for the fifth year in a row.
All that was more than enough to claim the prize.
Huber is the 2023 Gainesville Sun’s All-Area Girls Golfer of the Year for the second time in three years.
