Sunday, Jan. 21

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Dartmouth defeated Bridgewater-Raynham, 62-52. The loss snapped the Trojans 47-game league winning streak. Camden Strandberg scored 18 in the loss.

Alana MacLean (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Lilly Blow (14 points, 11 rebounds) each had double-doubles as Fontbonne defeated Acton-Boxboro, 46-41.

Saturday, Jan. 20

GIRLS HOCKEY

Grace Monahan stopped 32 shots as Hanover defeated Plymouth, 1-0. Heather McGinnis scored the lone goal off a feed from Callie Baldwin.

Jules Connors had a goal and an assist as Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake defeated Marshfield, 4-3. Caitlin Dilley added a goal and an assist. Chloe Duff and Brooke Hohmann scored the other goals for WHSL.

Braintree defeated Brookline, 3-0, as Callie Burchill had two goals.

Shea Nolan and Julie Murphy each scored once as Archbishop Williams tied Arlington Catholic, 2-2.

BOYS HOCKEY

Jason Katapodis scored Silver Lake's lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Dartmouth.

Jake McSweeney scored a goal in Stoughton/Brockton's 3-1 loss to North Quincy.

Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth defeated Tri-County to pick up its ninth consecutive win. Andrew Flanagan and Nick Falcione each had a goal while Nick Sturdevant had two assists. Freshman Jack Kelly stopped 24 shots.

Norwell defeated Middleboro, 6-5, as Nolan Petrucelli and Matt Cerruti each had a goal and an assist. Petrucelli scored his 100th career point. Sam Steinham had a goal and four assists in the loss.

Junior captain Luke Dunham scored a hat trick and recorded his 100th career point in Cohasset/Hull's 9-6 loss to Sandwich.

Patrick McGuirk had a goal and an assist in Rockland's 3-2 win over West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater. Christian Bates had a goal and an assist in the loss.

Kevin Murphy recorded his fifth shutout of the season in Marshfield's 6-0 win over Plymouth North.

WRESTLING

Whitman-Hanson dropped a quad meet against Bridgewater-Raynham, Mt. Hope and Holliston. Austin Gamber and Charlie Lussier had three wins on the day.

GYMNASTICS

Bridgewater-Raynham/West Bridgewater posted a season-high score in a 145.8 win over Mashpee/Falmouth/Barnstable. Freshman Lindsay Woodbury won the all-around while sophomore Lily Moreira was second.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Sophomore Reagan Vaughan had a career-high 27 points to go with 11 rebounds, but Milton Academy lost to Austin Prep, 70-64.

Friday, Jan. 19

BOYS BASKETBALL

Calvary Chapel Academy defeated South Shore Tech, 57-53. In the loss, Todd Egan scored 20 points. Tyler Carini added 12 and Tyrin MacDonald had 9.

North Quincy defeated Quincy, 71-65, as Kobe Nguyen scored a career-high 30 points on efficient shooting (9 of 14 from the floor, 11 of 14 from the free-throw line). He also chipped in 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Hunter Wood tied a career high with 20 points. Charlie Baker had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Danny Adams scored 26 points in the loss.

Troy Chase scored 23 points off seven 3-pointers in Plymouth North's 60-49 win over Silver Lake. Cody Quinn and Nelson Thevenin both scored 11.

Milton defeated Framingham, 44-39, behind 10 points from Luke Haley. Ronan Sammon and Dylan Raffle each added 9.

Whitman-Hanson defeated Marshfield, 68-62, as the Baker brothers (Ryan with 22 points, Caleb with 16) starred. Blake Belcher added 11.

Abington defeated Cohasset, 47-27, behind solid games from Tyler Staiti (13 points), Connor Pease (12 points, 8 rebounds, 6 blocks) and Kingston Maxwell (12 points). Will Henle scored 8 in the loss while Jack Cullinan chipped in 6.

Middleboro defeated Rockland, 65-62, as Jackson Davenport finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Matt Youngquist had 13 points and 9 rebonds. Brady Roche (6 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks) also played well.

Jack Balzarini scored 24 points to lead Carver to a win over Hull.

Canton defeated Foxboro, 66-55.

Archbishop Williams defeated Bishop Stang, 73-58 as Tristan Rodriguez scored 25 points. Tommy McDonagh had a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) and freshman Yves Conde added 9 points.

West Bridgewater defeated Fairhaven, 69-55.

Edric Louissaint scored a career-high 30 points as Weymouth defeated Wellesley, 75-50. Cortney Caldwell added 17.

Duxbury defeated Hingham, 50-46.

Mansfield defeated Stoughton, 59-58. Liam Pearl scored 14 in the loss while Eli Connor and Anthony Alessi each had 13.

Scituate defeated Plymouth South, 68-62, as Braden Danehey had 16 points and Brian Good had 15. Michael Porter added 14. The Sailors are 10-3 (7-1 Patriot League).

Braintree defeated Brookline, 58-44, as Ethan Elie led the way with 9 points. The Wamps are 7-3.

Sharon defeated Oliver Ames, 63-51.

Catholic Memorial defeated BC High, 75-66.

Durfee defeated Bridgewater-Raynham, 78-64.

D'Anthony Amado scored 18 points to lead Cardinal Spellman to a 61-58 win over Bishop Feehan. Marvin Petit-Frere had 17 while Jay'von Depina added 13.

Lenny Tangishaka scored 24 points, but Thayer Academy lost to St. Sebastian's, 68-57.

Tyler Vincent scored 14 points to lead Hanover to a 54-50 win over Pembroke.

In a 55-41 loss to New Bedford, Brockton senior forward John Francois scored more than half of the Boxers' points, finishing with a game-high 24, 15 of them the second half.

Rising Tide's Quintin Baecker scored 22 points in a 62-38 loss to Sturgis West.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Middleboro defeated Rockland, 58-14, as Natalie Kerstein and Jessica Perry each scored 16 points.

Mackenzie Hohulin scored 27 points to lead Plymouth North to a 57-48 win over Silver Lake. Carly Fernandez chipped in 11. In the loss, Chloe Lanza scored 16 while Kelsi had 15.

Bridgewater-Raynham defeated Durfee, 35-33, as Camden Strandberg (9 rebounds) scored 9 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter. Reese Bartlett also had 14 points.

Avery Gamble scored 15 points while Kam Derba added 14 as Oliver Ames defeated Sharon, 56-38.

Braintree defeated Brookline, 50-31, as Frankie Mazzini and Audrey Orsmby played well.

Cohasset defeated Abington, 47-37, behind 18 points and 5 steals from Sarah Chenette. Addy Andrews chipped in 12 points and Natalia Kluza added 9. Sophomores Savannah Eriksen and Ava Williamson in double figures in the loss and Rebecca Rix rebounded well.

Wellesley defeated Weymouth, 51-45.

Josie Helms, Jadyn Soromayor, and Julia Grimes played well as Carver defeated Hull and improved to 4-0 in South Shore League play.

Ashley McAdam (13 points), Mia Harrington (12) and Ava O'Neil (9) led the way as West Bridgewater defeated Fairhaven, 47-26.

Emily Heaton (7 points, 13 rebounds) and Christina McA'Nulty (10 points 7 rebounds, 3 steals) played well in Milton's 46-31 loss to Framingham.

Taryn Leonard (13 points, 10 rebounds) and Bella Miniutti (12 points) led Whitman-Hanson to a 58-31 win over Marshfield. Haylie McPhee had 11 points in the loss.

Ally Johnson (5 steals) and Bella Sulfaro (8 of 10 from free-throw line) scored 16 points as Blue Hills defeated Randolph, 51-36. Bridget Devine had 14 points and 4 blocks.

Addie Woodgate and Ellie Jackson each scored 12 points as Archbishop Williams defeated Bishop Stang, 53-7.

Duxbury defeated Hingham, 52-32, behind 12 points apiece from Skye Cerow and Hailey Flynn. Ella Fitzpatrick added 9.

Alyssa Hopps (12 points) hit a pull-up 3-pointer to lift Quincy to a 50-48 win over North Quincy. Ava Bryan had 20 points in the loss while Molly Toland added 11.

Scituate defeated Plymouth South, 55-44, as Bella Burns had a double-double (10 points, 13 rebounds). Louisa Kinlsey and Carolyn Good each had 12 points.

Freshman Layla Rivera had 19 points and 6 rebounds as Brockton defeated New Bedford, 56-43. Jalissa Miles added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Sunali Carter had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

GYMNASTICS

Marshfield (133.4) took first at the Patriot League Invitational, beating out Pembroke/Silver Lake (132.95), Hanover (132.25) and Plymouth (122.45). Kenzie Mackinaw (Pembroke/Silver Lake) and Annie Spencer (Marshfield) tied for first in the all-around.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Morgan McGathey and Kate Sullivan scored, but Thayer Academy lost to Dexter-Southfield, 3-2.

Thursday, Jan. 18

BOYS BASKETBALL

Armani Perkins (15 points), Allen Brown (13) and Cam Campbell (10) finished in double figures, but Holbrook lost to Westport 62-61.

Avon defeated Upper Cape Tech, 62-61, in overtime behind 14-point nights from Josiah Guerrier (9 rebounds) and Thomas Edwards.

Freshman Patrick Jackson exploded for 31 points as South Shore Tech defeated Bristol Aggie, 65-37. Tyrin MacDonald added 9.

Blue Hills' Dominic Capaccioli scored 18 points, and Patrick Lee added 10 points and 14 rebounds in an 80-41 win over Bristol-Plymouth.

Calvary Chapel Academy's Seamus Hanlon scored 17 points in a 59-40 win over Bethany Christian Academy. Cash Babineau (12 points) and Ryan Nichols (11) also contributed for the Cougars (7-3).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Sophomore Ally Johnson scored a career-high 23 points as Blue Hills defeated Bristol-Plymouth. 51-27. Bridget Devine added 14 points, and Kathleen Murphy pulled down 15 rebounds.

Notre Dame Academy (9-0) defeated Braintree, 57-43, behind 25 points from Ava Orlando. Effie Giannopoulos had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Frankie Spadorcia and Kiley Quinn played well for Braintree in the loss.

Avery Gamble and Sarah Hilliard each scored 14 points as Oliver Ames defeated North Attleboro, 58-33.

BOYS HOCKEY

Hingham defeated Central Catholic, 7-1, as Paul Dzavik scored two goals. Logan Traynor scored his first varsity goal to stake the Harbormen to a 1-0 lead.

Wednesday, Jan. 17

BOYS HOCKEY

Patrick Hampton netted the winner as Archbishop Williams edged Canton, 4-3, in overtime. James Howard, Brendan Tourgee and Brian Middleton scored for Canton in the loss.

Nick Sturdevant (2 goals, 1 assist) led Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth to a 5-3 win over South Shore Vocational. Cam Wilbur, Andrew Flanagan and Cole Tammaro also scored for the Hawks (8-3) and goaltender Jack Kelley made 25 saves.

Colin Blake scored two goals as Pembroke defeated Hanover, 3-2.

Coleman Quigley (2 goals) and Joe MacNeil scored in Quincy's 9-3 loss to Plymouth North.

Middleboro's Sam Steinman had 2 goals and 2 assists in a 6-2 win over Cohasset/Hull.

Norwell's Nolan Petrucelli and Quinn Simmons scored in a 6-2 loss to Watertown.

Marshfield's Brendan McLaughlin scored twice in a 5-2 win over North Quincy. Sammy Holte, Matt Garland and Jack Doherty added goals for the Rams (8-2-1).

West/East Bridgewater's Evan Brew, Christian Bates and Jack Pimental scored in a 10-3 loss to Abington.

Scituate defeated Silver Lake, 5-0.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Julie Murphy and Izzy O'Brien (first varsity goal) scored in Archbishop Williams' 2-0 win over Medfield. Goalie Kate McLeish posted the shutout.

Calli Pineau scored in Abington/Norwell/Scituate's 1-1 tie with Plymouth South. Lainey Burns and Maddie Cantor picked up assists and goaltender Caroline Ellis made 21 saves for the co-op.

Hingham's Hannah Lasch scored in OT for a 3-2 win over Marshfield. Addy Garrity and Reese Pompeo added goals for the Harborwomen.

Pembroke's Jen Birolini scored her 104th career goal to become the program's all-time leader in a 6-0 win over Wellesley.

Hanover defeated Quincy/North Quincy, 7-4.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Jizzelle Stephney (12 points, 4 steals, 2 assists), Rutrice Quental (7 points, 5 assists, 5 steals), Navaeh Stephney (8 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists) and Siyhann Sharp (8 points, 3 steals) shined in New Heights' 53-44 win over New Mission.

Leah McCarty (13 points) and Kirsten McKay (12 points) played well in Stoughton's 73-41 loss to Taunton.

In Fontbonne Academy's 54-25 win over Milton, Alana MacLean (10 points), Maggie Bedard (10 points), Lilly Blow (8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 assists, 2 steals), Jess Laflamme (9 points), Gillian Jolley (7 rebounds) and Ava Donaghue (7 rebounds) led the way.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Hanover coach Nick Hannigan secured his 150th career win in a 62-48 victory over Silver Lake. Sophomore Ryan Mutschler (19 points) and junior Tyler Vincent (17 points) led the Hawks in scoring.

Aiden Flaherty (17 points) and Dylan Kaplinger (15 points) and Aidan Toomey (15 points, 6 steals) lead East Bridgewater to a 68-53 road win over Mashpee.

Oliver Ames defeated North Attleboro, 80-54.

Bridgewater-Raynham lost to Dartmouth, 68-55.

WRESTLING

Kennedy Davis, Lucas Santos, Brent Von Magness, Brenton Allain, Luke Driscoll, Fletcher Rinke and Jackson Rinke led Bridgewater-Raynham to a 37-30 win over New Bedford. The win secured the Trojans the Southeast Conference title.

Stoughton junior Angie Berry, senior David O’Connor, sophomore Jack Gallan, senior Owen Mathers, senior Matt Gramazio and senior Ryan Kesseh fought tough despite a 42-30 loss to Canton.

Hingham topped Silver Lake, 55-16, thanks to wins from Mia Dineen (106 pounds), Hugh McGourty (113), JD Lucas (132), Cole Riordan (144), Aidan Chan (157), Jakub Wozny (165), Tucker Burke (175), Eamon Murphy (190), Tyler Grady (215) and Julian Fopiano (285).

GYMNASTICS

Annie Spencer won all-around with a 34.8 and Maya Overton took second with a 32.9 as Marshfield defeated Scituate, 129.5-117.9.

GIRLS SWIMMING/DIVING

Marshfield/Hanover beat Silver Lake/Whitman-Hanson, 94-61, as Rachel Ruminer won the 200 IM and 500 free; Addy Rhodes won the 100 free and 100 back; Audrey Hannigan won the 50 free; and Georgia Pearson won the 100 free. For SL/W-H, Brielle Shelly won the 200 free and 100 fly.

BOYS SWIMMING/DIVING

Marshfield/Hanover improved its record to 2-2 by defeating Silver Lake/Whitman-Hanson, 93-42.  Sam Frattasio won the 200 free and 500 free; Aidan Parry won the 200 IM and 100 breast; Alex Wong won the 50 free, Dean Gomes won the 100 free; and Connor Withers won the 100 fly. For SL/W-H, Brandon O'Donoghue won the 100 back.

Tuesday, Jan. 16

BOYS BASKETBALL

Abington's Kingston Maxwell (20 points, 5 rebounds) and Connor Pease (18 points, 11 rebounds) starred in a 67-47 home win over Middleboro. Tyler Staiti (12 points, 6 rebounds) and Nate Duggan (7 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists) also contributed for the Green Wave (7-4, 6-1 South Shore League). Matt Youngquist had 16 points and 9 rebounds for Middleboro (5-4, 5-3).

Whitman-Hanson's Caleb Baker led a balanced attack with 14 points in a 68-48 road win over Quincy. Blake Belcher added 13 points, and Evan Yakavonis and Ryan Baker each chipped in 11 for the Panthers (6-2 overall, 5-1 Patriot League). W-H has won six straight.

Duxbury's Zach Falls scored 37 points in an 86-73 win over Pembroke. Trevor Jones added 21 points, and Liam Burns chipped in with 10 for the Dragons (5-3).

North Quincy freshman forward Hunter Wood scored 12 of his team-high 20 points in the fourth quarter in a 55-48 road win over Plymouth North. Charlie Baker (11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks) and Kobe Nguyen (8 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals) also starred for NQ (2-7, 2-5 Patriot League). North (2-7) was led by Sean King (13 points) and Troy Chase (10).

Scituate's Michael Porter (22 points, 7 rebounds) and Brian Good (20 points, 10 rebounds) keyed a 64-54 win at Hingham. Ryan Dunn added 11 points and 3 rebounds for the Sailors (9-3).

Norwell's Connor O'Hare scored 19 points, and Ronan Coffey added 17 in a 77-47 win over Carver that pushed the Clippers' record to 9-0. Nate Helms led the Crusaders with 15 points.

Cohasset's Luke Moore scored 8 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter in a 48-36 come-from-behind win over Rockland. Jack Cullinan and Sam Larsen each added 12 points for the Skippers (6-3, 4-2 South Shore League). Cohasset trailed 11-0 early.

Justin LaChance scored 19 points, and Al Marzullo added 14 in a 56-54 road win over Marshfield. The Panthers improved to 6-2.

Calvary Chapel Academy's Shamus Hanlon scored 26 points in a 67-64 overtime win over Atlantis Charter 67-64. Cash Babineau added 12 for the Cougars.

Randolph's Allen Young scored 21 points in a 70-46 win over Hull for the Blue Devils (3-6). Hull's Isaiah Green had a game-high 28 points.

Archbishop Williams' Tristan Rodriguez scored 24 points in a 75-62 loss at St. Mary's-Lynn for the Bishops (4-6).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Whitman-Hanson's Dylan Hurley had a game-high 18 points and added 4 rebounds and 4 assists in a 52-40 win over Quincy. Taryn Leonard (10 points) and Jenna Mishou (9 points, 10 rebounds) helped the Panthers (7-1, 6-1 Patriot League) win their seventh in a row.

Middleboro's Hailey Iwanski scored 16 points, and Natalie Kerstein added 12 in a 64-43 win over Abington. Jessica Perry and Olivia Mather each added 8 points for the Sachems (6-5). Ella Williamson scored 16 points for Abington, and Savannah Eriksen (8 points, 7 rebounds), Rebecca Rix (8 rebounds) and Madison McDonald (7 rebounds) also contributed.

Duxbury's Ella Fitzpatrick scored 17 points, and Skye Cerow added 14 in a 48-36 road win over Pembroke. Lyla Peters had 10 points and was strong on the glass, while Kendall Quinn was a defensive standout for the Dragons. Pembroke got 10 points from Sophie Derochea and 9 from Allie Dwyer.

Norwell's Maddie Oliver had 29 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists in a 65-35 win over Carver. Alex Cassidy (9 points, 8 rebounds), Reagan Dowd (9 points, 5 steals) and Tess Murray (7 points) also contributed for the Clippers (8-1), who haven't lost since their opener.

Rockland's Kay-Lijah Oehschlagel had 15 points and 7 rebounds, and Maggie Elie had a triple-double (12 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists) in a 45-44 win over Cohasset. Sophie Levy (4 points, 8 rebounds) also starred for the Bulldogs (5-7, 5-2 South Shore League). Cohasset's Sarah Chenette and Addy Andrews each scored 13 points in the loss.

Hull's Margot Harper and Fallon Ryan each scored 23 points in a 56-23 win over Randolph.

North Quincy's Ava Bryan had 23 points (five 3-pointers) and 8 rebounds in a 66-42 win over Plymouth North. Maeve Powers (19 points) and Nora Geary (12) also contributed for the Raiders (6-4).

Marshfield's Emily Fecteau had 13 points, and Maddie Devin and Haylie McPhee each added 10 in a 48-40 road over Plymouth South. The Rams are 4-4 overall, 4-3 Patriot League.

GIRLS INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

In a 68-14 win over Fontbonne Academy, Archbishop Williams (6-0) got double wins from Kaitlyn Burke (55 meters, 7.80; 300m, :45.23), Hannah Griffin (600m, 1:50.27; shot put, 24-6.5); and Allison Flynn (high jump, 4-10; long jump, 15-5.25). Amelia Sheehan won the 55m hurdles (:12.01), Maddie Hussey won the 2-mile (11:53.90), and the 4x200m relay (Erin O'Toole, Jayde Awudo, Isabella Caputo, Lily Griffin) won in 2:04.76.

Monday, Jan. 15

GIRLS HOCKEY

Jules Connors had 2 goals and an assist for Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake in a 6-1 win over Quincy/North Quincy. Chloe Duff, Caitlin Dilley, Brooke Hohmann and Brenna Hohmann also scored, Cam Dematos had a pair of assists, and goaltender Sadie Watchorn played well for W-H/SL (3-6).

Braintree's Nora Shea scored twice, and goaltender Eva Surette posted a shutout in a 4-0 win over Norwood. Catherine Freeman and Emma Walsh also scored for the Wamps (4-5-1).

Notre Dame Academy (7-2-1) topped town rival Hingham, 3-1, to win the Hingham Cup. Caroline Doherty scored for the Harborwomen (7-3).

BOYS HOCKEY

Nick Sturdevant (2 goals) won it in overtime as Southeastern/Bristol-Plymouth edged Holliston, 5-4. Cole Tammaro, Cam Wilbur and Luke Martineau also scored for the Hawks (7-3), and goaltender Cam Teague got the win in the net.

Marshfield won the Green Cup, 3-2, in a shootout over Duxbury, although the game officially counts as a tie for MIAA power-ranking purposes. Jack Doherty and Sammy Holte scored for the Rams in regulation. Mike Yucius and Kyle Leahy scored for Duxbury.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Fontbonne Academy's Lilly Blow had 14 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals in a 52-27 win over Cardinal Spellman. Alana MacLean (19 points, 4 steals), Jess Laflamme (5 points, 4 assists, 3 steals) and Ava Donoghue (5 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals) also starred for the Ducks (7-3).

Hull's Margot Harper scored 10 points in a 43-28 loss to Rockland.

GYMNASTICS

Braintree's Abigail Kostas won the all-around with a score of 33.5 points as the Wamps defeated Brookline, 131.4-89.55. Teammate Lilith Watson (32.5) was second in the all-around. Kostas won beam (8.5) and floor (8.5) and tied for first on vault with teammate Madison Keddy (8.7). Watson won bars (8.0).
