After a stellar performance on Sunday, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan could be the FedEx Air Player of the Week…

The NFL and FedEx have partnered to award one quarterback and one running back a weekly award for their performance. After the conclusion of the Monday night football game, fans can vote on the nominees until Thursday at 3:00pm. Winners are then announced Thursday evening. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan is nominated for his performance against the Raiders.

Fans can vote at NFL.com/FedEx or by using the hashtag #AirAndGround along with the players’ last name.

Ryan completed 26-of-34 pass attempts for 396 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday in Oakland. He had one interception but ended with a 131.5 passer rating.

The Atlanta Falcons quarterback has been impressive to start 2016. Through two games Ryan is the NFL’s highest rated quarterback (121.4) and second in both passing yards (730) and touchdowns (5). He also ranks second in completion percentage (72.6) and leads the NFL with four completions of 40-plus yards.

Two other individuals are on the ballot from Sunday, the Panthers Cam Newton and Philip Rivers from San Diego.

Newton completed 24-of-40 passes for 353 yards, but had four touchdowns. He too had an interception in addition to a fumble and finished with a 111.8 passer rating.

Rivers completed 17-of-24 passes for 220 yards and also had four touchdowns. The Chargers quarterback did not throw an interception, but did lose a fumble on Sunday. His passer rating of 138.9 was the highest of the nominees.

The FedEx Ground nominees include Matt Forte (NYJ), Isaiah Crowell (CLE), and Legarrette Blount (NE).

Once the votes have been counted, FedEx will make a $2,000 donation to the USO in the winning players’ name.
