Market Movers Week 13: Cam Akers is the guy

Yahoo Sports Matt Harmon gives his insight on moves to make after NFL's Week 13 discussing Cam Akers, Russell Wilson, Baker Mayfield and more.

MATT HARMON: Let's talk market movers coming out of week 13 Sunday action. Cam Akers looks like he's the guy for the LA Rams right now, and that's a stock up for the time being. We know that this backfield is going to be a hot-hand approach, so the rug could be ripped out from us at any minute, and Darrell Henderson is still going to be involved. He scores on a long run today as well. But Sean McVay has said he's going to ride the hot-hand approach, and Akers has that right now.

And the plus side here is we know that when a running back figures this scheme out-- and it looks like Akers after an injury, after a shortened offseason has finally done that-- we know the production can be there. And you saw today that when the Rams are on schedule, they can run the ball really well. I think Akers is a guy you're probably starting the rest of the way.

Staying in the NFC West but getting in a little negative action here, the Seattle Seahawks of September, the fun, let Russell cook, the high-flying, enthralling team that we saw then feels like something from another lifetime. And the problem is Russ is burning the entrees right now. He's making mistakes, taking sacks, turning the ball over.

The entire unit I feel like-- look, you're not going to bench Wilson, Carson, Lockett, Metcalf against the Jets next week, but I do think you have to adjust some expectations here. The ceiling is still enough to get you to play these guys in your lineup, but the floor is problematic.

Lastly, a unit that I think people could get higher on their expectations but I feel like is just maintaining value right now is the Browns. I don't think we learned too much more new information about the Browns here in week 13. When there's no pressure-- and Mayfield was not sacked against the Titans-- he can still carve up a defense, but how often is he really going to see that? Landry and Higgins are guys that are going to be in your flex consideration every week, but I wouldn't go too crazy with the rest of the passing attack.
