The second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament will wrap up Sunday with eight games that will determine the last eight teams that will advance to the Sweet 16 and keep their title dreams alive.

The action will begin at 11:10 a.m. CT with a matchup between 2 seed Marquette and 10 seed Colorado at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, which will lead in to 1 seed Purdue’s game with 8 seed Utah State at 1:40 p.m. CT, also in Indianapolis.

It will get decidedly busier in the late afternoon and the evening, with six games tipping off between 4:15 p.m. CT and 8:40 p.m. CT. That run begins with 4 seed Duke squaring off against 12 seed James Madison and will wrap up with 5 seed San Diego State, the reigning national runner-up, taking on 13 seed Yale, fresh off its upset of Auburn Friday.

Perhaps the highlight of the night will come with top overall seed UConn continuing its push to become the first repeat national champion since Florida in 2006 and 2007 with a matchup against 9 seed Northwestern. Elsewhere, 1 seed Houston will take on former Southwest Conference rival Texas A&M, 3 seed Baylor will face 6 seed Clemson and 4 seed Alabama will look to get a second SEC team in the Sweet 16 when it squares off against 12 seed Grand Canyon, led by former Vanderbilt coach Bryce Drew.

Marquette-Colorado and Purdue-Utah State will be standalone contests on a relatively slow Sunday morning and early afternoon, a sharp break from the frenetic pace that defines the first two full days of the NCAA Tournament.

From there, though, the pace and frequency of games will pick up as the Sweet 16 field is finalized.
