Maplewood Post 464 baseball is on a hot streak. See how they won 3 straight victories.

FALL RIVER — The Maplewood Post 464 baseball team continued its hot streak last week, collecting a home and two road victories in Senior American Legion action.

The Fall River-based squad defeated Rockland, Wareham and Kingston to run its streak to eight games.

Maplewood has a record of 9-1 and 4-0 in the division.

Maplewood Post 464 (9), Rockland Post 147 (1)

Maplewood Post 464 sailed to a home victory over Rockland Post 147 at Chew Park.

The locals got things started in the second inning when Ethan Cambra led off with a double in the gap. Alexis Montilla followed with a triple on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring Cambra.

Maplewood Post 464 scored three runs in the fifth inning. Landon Medeiros, Jayden Espinal and Cambra all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Josh Martel got the win on the hill for Fall River. He pitched the complete game, allowing six hits, one run, a walk while striking out eight.

Maplewood Post 464 tallied 10 hits. Aaron Ferreira, Cambra, and Montilla each collected multiple hits in the win. Defensively, the locals did not commit a single error in the field.

Maplewood Post 464 (10), Wareham Post 220 (0)

Two Maplewood Post 464 pitchers combined to throw a shutout in a road win against Wareham.

Jayden Espinal earned the victory on the hill for Fall River. The right-hander allowed four hits, no runs, no walks while striking out one over four innings and walking zero. Sébastien Reis threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen and recorded the last nine outs, including inducing a groundout from Jaren Rose.

Maplewood Post 464 secured the victory, thanks to a six-run sixth inning. Walks to Andrew Raposa and Ethan Cambra, along with singles by Colin Laurianno and Josh Martel, contributed to the big inning. Christian Connell and Kole Andrade each had sacrifice flies.

Fall River managed 13 hits on the day. Espinal went 3-for-3 at the plate while Martel, Laurianno, Landon Medeiros, and Connell each managed multiple hits.

Maplewood Post 464 (4), Kingston Post 387 (1)

Maplewood Post 464 erupted for four runs in the sixth inning to beat Kingston Post 387 on the road.

Landon Medeiros scored the tying run on a bunt by Collin Lauriano in the top of the sixth. With the game tied at 1-1, Josh Martel grounded out, scoring Connor Travis from third base. Jeyden Espinal then singled, scoring Laurianno and Christian Connell to give Fall River a 4-1 lead.

Ethan Cambra was dominant on the mound for Fall River. He pitched the complete game, allowing a run, no walks while fanning four batters in seven innings.

Colin Laurianno, Jayden Espinal, Ethan Frias and Christian Connell each collected a hit to lead Maplewood Post 464.
