Manchester's Owen Canter, Lake Center's Dylan Maninga lead all-district baseball honorees

Manchester's Owen Canter and Lake Center Christian's Dylan Maninga led Stark County-area honorees on the all-district teams for the Northeast Ohio Baseball Coaches Association.

Canter is the Division III Pitcher of the Year. The senior right-hander led the Repository coverage area in ERA (0.35) and strikeouts (101 in 60 innings). Canter went 6-2, tossing two no-hitters for the Panthers. A Walsh University recruit, he set Manchester records for career and single-season strikeouts.

Maninga is the Division IV Pitcher of the Year. A junior right-hander, Maninga led the area in wins, going 10-2 with a 1.33 ERA. He earned the win in both of Lake Center's district tournament games. Maninga struck out 76 batters in 79 innings.

Lake Center's Shane Byler was the Division IV Coach of the Year. Byler led the Tigers (22-7) to their first district championship since 2009 — when he was a player — and their first league title in program history.
