Video Transcript

MATT GOTHARD: Welcome back to "Mad Bets," everybody. I'm joined by Kevin Iole. And we have Mike Tyson entering the ring against Roy Jones this Saturday, the 28th. There has been some rumors around that Mike Tyson is the favorite, but we wanted to ask Iole who he thinks is going to win this match. Kevin, what do you think's going to happen?

KEVIN IOLE: Well, I tell you what? First of all, are we in a time warp where we're talking about Mike Tyson? You know, I should have hair on the top of my head. It's the 1980s. Come on, here.

But, you know, I like Roy Jones in the fight. I mean, you know, we don't know really what kind of fight it's going to be. But if it is a legitimate real fight, I think Roy Jones is closer to what he once was and has the style to beat Tyson.

You know, he's quicker. He has the boxing. I know Roy had some knee issues he told me about. He said he stopped playing basketball. And since he's done that, his knees have been OK.

Obviously, you know, if you look at Tyson, he looks like the Incredible Hulk. I mean, he really looks big and in great shape. And that's a plus for him. But I just think he's going to have a hard time hitting Roy consistently, and it's been a long time since Mike has been in the ring-- 15 years.

Roy fought as recently as 2018. I like Roy Jones to win a decision. Although it's not going to be scored, I like Roy Jones to win the fight.

MATT GOTHARD: OK. All right. So you said you like him by decision. Do you think there is any chance of a knockout? I know there's been rumors that they aren't going to try to knock each other out, but it's hard to believe with two competitors.

KEVIN IOLE: Yeah, with Mike Tyson in the ring-- you know, Roy Jones said, do you want to go in there and think that Mike Tyson's going to pay attention to what the commissioner said and not go for knockouts? I think Tyson's going to fight the way Tyson fights, which is throwing haymakers. As a result of that, you know, yes, there is a possibility of a knockout.

You know, Roy's chin in the second part of his career was questionable. Mike Tyson, I'm sure even at this age, hits hard. If he catches him on the chin, I think he could stop him. But I just question whether Mike is going to be able to do that.
