LSU's Brian Kelly says former Cincinnati TE Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift would be 'great fit'
Brian Kelly has added to the discourse on the internet rumor mill about an apparent budding relationship between pop star Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
On his weekly radio appearance on "The Brian Kelly Show," the second-year LSU coach responded to a question on whether the celebrity tandem are currently together. He simply said he thinks the two "would seem to me to be a great fit." The rumors about a potential relationship between the NFL Pro Bowler and Swift took off after Kelce said he tried to shoot his shot with the pop star at her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City.

The tight end initially broke the news on his "New Heights" podcast, although he said his efforts proved fruitless at the time. He expounded on that story in a Thursday appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," saying he reached out to the pop culture icon and invited her out to one of the NFL games.

As for why Kelly would even face that question in the first place: He coached both Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce at Cincinnati. The younger Kelce was a member of Kelly's Bearcats teams in 2008 and 2009, though he only played for Kelly in the latter season.

His final season in Cincinnati was in 2012, which saw the tight end rack up 722 yards and eight touchdowns, helping boost his draft stock to be taken 63rd overall by the Chiefs in the 2013 NFL Draft.
While Brian Kelly finds the tandem to be "a great fit," it seems that Taylor Swift will get to make that ultimate decision. No matter her feelings on Kelce, social media will likely continue to run with the story.
