LSU women's basketball 2024-25 SEC schedule includes South Carolina, Texas away, OU home

LSU women's basketball has learned its 2024-25 season SEC home and away opponents.

In the newly expanded league — that welcomes Texas and Oklahoma — LSU will take on Tennessee in a home-and-home series while it'll play the rest of its conference opponents once, the conference announced Tuesday.

With 16 teams now in the SEC, the league has structured its schedule with the home-and-home opponents rotating each season and each squad playing eight home and away games apiece.

As far as the newcomers to the SEC, Kim Mulkey and LSU will host the Sooners and will travel to Austin to face the Longhorns.

The rest of LSU's SEC home schedule this upcoming season includes matchups with Texas A&M, Auburn, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State and Georgia along with Tennessee.

LSU will face reigning NCAA champion South Carolina and Dawn Staley next season in Columbia. The Tigers are also slated to visit Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky and Florida in addition to the road trips to Knoxville and Austin.

The team has one game solidified on its 2024-25 schedule — a trip to Bossier City for a neutral site game against instate foe Grambling State.

After making a run to the Elite Eight last year, in which it lost to eventual national runner-up Iowa, LSU looks to make it back to the Final Four. The Tigers will have to do that without star Angel Reese, who was drafted by the Chicago Sky last month and is set to play her rookie season in the WNBA.

Flau'jae Johnson is back and poised to be the face of the Tigers this season, along with reigning SEC Freshman Player of the Year in Mikaylah Williams and All-American honorable mention Aneesah Morrow.

LSU signed four transfer portal players to bolster its roster in Arkansas transfer combo player Jersey Wolfenbarger, as well as a trio of guards in Shayeann Day-Wilson from Miami, Mjracle Sheppard from Mississippi State and Kailyn Gilbert from Arizona.
