LSU vs Iowa in Elite 8 2024 Women's NCAA Tournament: Live updates from March Madness

ALBANY, N.Y. — One of the bigger questions ahead of LSU women's basketball and Iowa's Elite 8 rematch of last season's NCAA championship game is will the game surpass the record 9.9 million viewers that watched last April.

The highly anticipated showdown between No. 3 Tigers (31-5) and No. 1 Iowa (32-4) on Monday night (7:15 p.m., ESPN) features the two biggest players in the sport in Iowa's Caitlin Clark and LSU's Angel Reese.

For her team this season, Reese has averaged 19 points and 13 rebounds per game and earned SEC Player of the Year honors.

Clark broke the NCAA's all-time scoring record this season, shooting past LSU great Pete Maravich and has a current total of 3,859 points.

But there's plenty of other players on both sides to watch besides Reese and Clark.

Flau'jae Johnson has been stellar for the Tigers in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 19 points. She scored 24 points and had 12 rebounds in LSU's Sweet 16 win over UCLA on Saturday.

For the Hawkeyes, sophomore forward Hannah Stuelke has put together a solid season, averaging 14 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
