LSU a big riser in US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 8 win over Army
Though it wasn’t the toughest test the Tigers will face all year, coach Brian Kelly’s team did everything that was asked of it in a 62-0 win over Army on Saturday night in Week 8.
While that win isn’t particularly impressive on its face, losses by four teams ranked above LSU ultimately allowed it to move up four spots in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll. North Carolina, Tennessee, Duke and USC all dropped and were jumped by the Tigers.
The top 10 remains mostly unchanged, though Oregon is in and Penn State is out after a loss to Ohio State.
