LSU baseball to face Kentucky in Baton Rouge Super Regional beginning on Saturday

BATON ROUGE – LSU baseball will face Kentucky in the Baton Rouge Super Regional of the NCAA Tournament, starting on Saturday (2 p.m., ESPN).

Games 2 and 3 of the super regional will be on Sunday and Monday, respectively. Start times and TV information have yet to be determined.

The Wildcats (40-19) defeated Indiana, 4-2 on Monday, to clinch their spot in the super regionals. Kentucky, the No. 12 seed, won three consecutive games in the Lexington Regional including the final two over Indiana, after falling to the Hoosiers on Saturday.

LSU (46-15) was a perfect 3-0 during the Baton Rouge Regional, defeating Tulane 7-2 before beating Oregon State Sunday and Monday, 6-5 and 13-7, respectively.

This weekend will be the 16th time in program history that LSU will play in a super regional. It's also the second time in three seasons the Tigers have made a super regional. LSU lost consecutive games to Tennessee in the Knoxville Super Regional in 2021 after winning the Eugene Regional.
