A look at Texas’ depth at wide receiver following Isaiah Neyor’s injury

Early reports from Texas’ first fall scrimmage fear that wide receiver Isaiah Neyor suffered a season-ending knee injury.

The Wyoming transfer has been a standout player for Texas throughout offseason since he arrived in Austin. The unfortunate injury news also surfaced days after wide receiver Agiye Hall was suspended indefinitely by head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Fortunately for the Longhorns, their wide receiver room is one of the strongest position groups on the roster. There are a few injury concerns, primarily with players like Jordan Whittington and Troy Omeire who have been bitten by the injury bug often, but the depth behind Xavier Worthy is still solid.

It’s unclear when Hall will be cleared to return to team activities, so it provides player such as Tarique Milton and true freshman Brenen Thompson with more opportunities.

Here’s a look at some of the wide receivers expected to step up for the Longhorns this season following Neyor’s injury.
