LOOK: Alabama gets last-second go-ahead touchdown vs. Auburn on miracle fourth-down play
No. 8 Alabama needed a miracle to beat Auburn late in the Iron Bowl on Saturday. The Crimson Tide got it in the form of a 31-yard touchdown connection between Jalen Milroe and Isaiah Bond.
Facing fourth-and-goal from the Auburn 31 and needing a touchdown down 24-20 to the Tigers, Milroe somehow connected with Bond in the corner of the end zone to advance to 11-1 and 8-0 in SEC play while downing the Tigers (6-6, 3-5).
Auburn got one last chance for a go-ahead score, but a Terrion Arnold interception of Payton Thorne gave Alabama a 27-24 victory that was somehow closer than the score indicated. Here's the play:
