LOOK: Aidan Hutchinson steals the show in premiere episode of HBO Hard Knocks

Not only are the Detroit Lions front and center during the NFL preseason, as the franchise is finally featured on the HBO flagship show, ‘Hard Knocks,’ but so, too, is a former Wolverine.

Given that former Michigan football edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson is a local product playing for his hometown team, and was the No. 2 overall NFL draft pick, it makes sense that he would be heavily featured, at least in the premiere episode, which aired on Tuesday evening. While Michigan football was often mentioned throughout, thanks to the featuring of Hutchinson, his family, and his continued fervor for his alma mater, the biggest moment in the entire episode came courtesy of the rookie taking part of an initiation, where he had to sing to the team.

Hutchinson sang ‘Billie Jean’ by Michael Jackson, first messing up to friendly jeers, before regaining his composure and galvanizing his entire team. It’s an amazing moment, and one that HBO producers called the best when it’s come to seeing rookies sing in likewise initiation procedures.
